Saved me more times than I can count!
This kit is simply a must have for any diy enthusiast! This kit has saved me more times than I can count. I had threaded a hole on my engine block, this kit is so easy to use and the instructions are simple and effective. Got it repaired in minutes and it’s all like new if not even better! I have since used it on my oil sump and it is just brilliant! This is an absolute must have and will save you £££ from going to the garage!

Looks poor quality but works really well
I've been a machinist for 25 years or so and when I saw the taps I assumed they'd make a pigs ear of any hole, but then again I'm used to cutting extremely tough materials.I've used them a few times on aluminium, to repair motorbike mirror mounting points, and they cut that soft stuff perfectly. The kit comes with everything you need, apart from a drill, instructions, and disappointingly, a tap wrench. As for instructions:1) Measure the outer diameter of the screw.2) Select the appropriate drill, and remove the old, damaged thread.3) Tap the hole using the tap in the set. Use oil, WD40 or even wax to prolong cutter life4) clear all chips and swarf from hole.5) Use the handle to wind in the repair coil, with the straight winding at the bottom of the hole.6) Use the drift pin and a hammer to remove the straight winding. The cost of the whole kit has been offset by one repair alone. To sum up, great for ally or zinc repairs; it might work on steel but personally I wouldn't risk it on anything of any value.

Looks good
Haven't as yet used but on first impressions it looks like a quality set, from unpacking and seeing its a steel box and not some cheap blowen plastic case. everything is nicely set out. will update once I have used and see how they preform.Update Edit:Well I used it and had no problems very good and better than hoped for the price, I sheard off two chassis bolts for the engine mounts on my Mk7 transit drilled out the sheared off studs retaped and fitted Heli-coil nice solid fit for the engine mounting bolts. 100% reamended.

Don’t expect too much, it is cheap after all
Purchased to repair threads in alloy castings. Insert tool got stuck on the second use. The insert tools are made of very soft metal and clearly will not last. Not sure why the drifts to break off the tabs have rubber covers on the end as you hit the end with a hammer so absorbs the force.
