After figuring out how to put the batteries in them they work... not the best quality audio but the work.

According to the listing, this case fits .223 ammunition. While it is true, that the ammunition does "fit" in the slots; it does not fit well. The ammunition is very loose in each slot, leaving a lot of empty (wasted) space. The height of the case is also too tall for this ammunition. These problems lead to a lot of movement and noise while carrying these cases full.That being said, the cases are well constructed and I shall continue my search for a nice case for 5.56 ammunition in the SmartReloader family.

I have a few dozen of these type ammo storage containers. for various calibers I shoot. They work well and make the ammo quite easy to get out and loaded into the magazine. For handgun rounds I find putting the bullets in upside down from the photo works much better, The brass end offers more gripping surface. A 9mm is really hard to get a hold of from on of these boxes with the brass end down. Rifle rounds are not a problem.

Bought it to hold AA batteries. Holds them well. Filled the void at the top w/ foam rubber.

The box is well made but I wanted to use it for 223, it comes up as a 223 ammo box. For the space if it had 223 sized partitions it would have 50 rounds. For those who aren't anal about the shells flopping around and inefficient use of space buy it! . . . .its a good box, just didn't work for me.

Ordered the described ear muffs but for some plastic boxes.

243 rounds rattle around too much.Odd number of rounds.Stick with "case-guards"
