GREAT camera
This camera is fantastic, never had any issues with charging or uploading to computer. Easy to use, has a nice feel to photo qualityโฆ perfect size for portability. Received from seller in 24 hours in perfect condition! Would definitely recommend this seller and this camera.

Wonderful!
I really like this camera. The shipping was fast, it wasn't a bad price, and it takes a decent photo. The battery does take a good amount of time to charge and keep in mind it does not come with a memory card. But, it really is a good camera. However, if you are a professional photographer, I don't recommend this camera. It's great for kicks and a few spontaneous photos and videos, but not for a professional camera. It's a good fit for someone who isn't crazy about taking photos/videos but likes to have a good one when they need to snap a few on vacation and such. Overall, not a bad product at all. Thoroughly enjoy it and the price is efficient compared to other cameras, especially for a canon.

STILL WORKING PERFECTLY AFTER FOUR YEARS
First digital camera, I wanted something inexpensive and easy to use that would take quality pictures. This has been a delight to use. Was trying to take a picture of something very close up for the first time yesterday and it was coming out blurry--found the close-up setting in the menu, set it to auto, and it came out perfect. The little memory card holds tons of pictures and is easy to swap out, as is the battery for charging. I also got an accessory kit that comes with a spare battery, screen protector, case, AC/DC charger and a tiny tripod I thought was a joke but works perfectly. Would recommend it also at this link: http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B007FTJF2I/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_17 All in all I don't see how I could have picked a better camera, very happy with it. UPDATE: Still working perfectly after five years. I had an issue with my computer not being able to read the memory card, so I plugged the whole camera into the USB port and the camera software solves my problem. Spent $95 on this and it's some of the best money I ever spent.

For outdoor use only
This camera is horrendous for anything other than bright sunny days outdoors. I admit, my "real" camera is a full frame is DSLR that I use entirely on manual. But for trips into the city, or day-trips to the beach, sometimes I don't want to deal with the big camera AND kids, AND stuff. I just want a camera, better than my phone, to toss in my bag and be able to capture a few memories when they happen. I knew that chances were good that I was not going to be entirely happy with a point-and-shoot (that's why I have a DSLR!), but I didn't expect it to be this bad. There's no "sports" (action/kids, whatever you want to call it) mode. The specs say it will shoot up to 1/2000 sec, but I couldn't force it to go above 1/40 indoors. If I'm shooting a 28mm lens on my real camera, at 1/40, I'm grabbing a tripod. Heck, I'm putting it on a tripod for anything less than 1/100. Forget about using the zoom indoors (zoom magnifies camera/hand shake). I was braced against the wall, elbows propped up a desk and I still couldn't get a clear image. Turning on the flash helps a little bit, but the colors end up washed out, and there's no way to control the brightness of the flash, in camera (I've put a tissue over the flash before when using a point-and-shoot, which helps, but on Day 1 with this camera i was not in the mood for workarounds.) I used the "Program" mode to try increase the ISO, thinking that will encourage a faster shutter speed, but no luck. I just got a very noisy image. (Color and luminance noise were equally horrible). The lowlight setting seems to just employ in-camera smoothing that results in a loss of detail. I had an Elph five or so years ago, prior to getting my DSLR, and I was happy with it, but I remember it having many more features. Time to go research other cameras.

Good camera
Great camera! Technology has come a long way from the little instant cameras you had to wait and process the film. I'm not a high techie kind of person, so this camera works really well for us. I turn it on, point and shoot and look to see if it's good enough or if I have to take another. I'm sure we don't even use it to it's full potential. But is fine for us and didn't even have to spend a lot for it. I've seen other people who ding the stars just because it didn't do all of that magic hocus pocus tech stuff. If that's what you want, you need to spend the money and buy that kind of camera. But if you just want something to take pictures of the family, vacations, etc. then you can't go wrong with this one. I'm updating my review because someone wanted to know how close you could before it got blurry. This picture was taken within an inch of my lilacs. It is beautiful. I left it on auto and put the camera up next to the bloom. Then I backed away and zoomed in, that photo turned out a little blurry and focused in on the background flowers.

Not as sturdy as my old one but takes excellent pictures
Not as sturdy as my old one but takes excellent pictures. The door to open and close the battery and memory card is a bit flimsy, I hope that I do not break it. The strap is impossible to put on as the hole is very small, I don't like that at all as I cannot wear it on my wrist. I guess it is OK for the small price. I had my other Canon PowerShot for 10 years but I doubt that this one will last that long.

Ok. Good for the price.
Good little camera. Not very many features that I actually use, but ok for photographing my etsy items.

Perfect for new photographers
Takes great photos whether you set it on full auto mode or play around with the scenes. Battery life is sufficient for my needs, but will have to reassess when using it on vacation. I haven't tried taking pictures while in bright sunlight, but I assume that viewing the screen will be more difficult in direct sunlight since it doesn't have a viewfinder. It's really tiny and slick though, so if you have fat fingers, you may want to get something more substantial. I have the wrist strap attached to a camera case so it won't fall to the ground if it slips out of my hands. People have complained that it doesn't come with a USB cord or memory card, but I didn't care since it probably keeps the cost down this way. I have plenty of memory cards, and inserting the card into a computer in to upload photos is easy.

Great, but after a while dust enters the lens.
Bought it years ago and it's now back in fashion and still works. Takes time to focus though.

Came for the price, stayed for the picture quality.
As someone without much experience in photography, this camera fills the role of a budget point-and-shoot quite well. Admittedly, the lack of image stabilization is a bit of a minus, but that is the only star I'm willing to take off on this product. It shoots quickly enough, with a good range of optical zoom, and a very reasonable 16MP resolution. The wide array of shooting modes make for some really neat photographs on the go. If you can get a stable, well lit shot, this camera produces some really good results, certainly worth the price associated. If you're like me and needed a low cost camera for school projects and general travel, this is a good camera to consider.

Four Stars
i bought this camera almost one year ago. The automatic feature is not good enough which is the most important feature expected from simple shot cameras. The pictures comes very bad especially under low light conditions. Night photos are a disaster. If you would like to change its features manually according to the conditions, it is not that easy. I do not recommend this camera to anyone. The only good thing about this camera is that the battery goes very long, long enough.

Camera was OK but I was a little disappointed that the same battery in my old ELPH100 didn't fit the ELPH135. I thought it would so I didn't order an extra battery.....I guess I'll have to do that soon.
