Great value for money
Coming from a OnePlus 6, the 8 isn't a night a day difference but it's an improvement in many ways.Same fast charging, decent preapplied screen protector and same great Android skin. The improvements:Android 11 update is ready to install,5G future proofed, noticeably better screen, higher refresh rate (90hz),Snapdragon 865 (not the newest anymore but still great),much better haptics, much better speakers with Dolby Atmos now, no notch (Thank you!),better battery anda taller aspect ratio for widescreen content. The not so great:No headphone jack :(,Only one speaker at the bottom,A few more apps you can't uninstall (like YT Music),No wireless charging (if you care about that) andthe whole phone is a fingerprint magnet without a case. But that's all I found I didn't like, which is a short list.Purchased for £350 new on sale (£550 from OnePlus as of writing), and for that price I don't think you can get a better phone, hope this is useful to potential buyers.

An exceptional phone
This is the first non-Iphone/Samsung smartphone that I've purchased in around 15 years and I'm so glad I made the switch. Everything about it, from the sound quality to the overall speed, is excellent, and it's all at a significantly reduced price compared to what I would have paid for the new Samsung. It's taken day or so to get used to the slightly different functions and not having an ear phone jack is a little frustrating but it's not enough to make me regret the purchase. There are so many great little features that I've yet to make the most of and the warp charging gives me a full battery in around 30 minutes. For the first time in ages, I went a full 24 hours and beyond before I had to charge again. Its perhaps too early to say, but I don't feel I'll be going back to either or the big two while OnePlus are around. An efficient, elegant phone that's quick to charge, has a long battery life, great displays, colours, wonderful sound.... One of the best purchases I've made in some time. 5/5

Great quality phone
So i have had this phone for about a month now. Only reason for buying a new one was because i needed a 5G phone. My previous model was a Huawei mate20 pro. At first when i got the phone i wasnt expecting much of a difference between this phone and my previous one. But i was wrong and for the price i paid (£400) on offer, i got more than what i bargained for. I have never owned a Oneplus phone before and happy i made the decision to get one.Overall its a great quality phone, with a fantastic camera, good battery life, fast charging and looks very nice. Its definitely fast, and hasn't crashed or slowed down on me once. The UI is simple and clean and I've gotten used to it. So if your looking for a good all around phone without breaking the bank, then i would highly recommend you get this.

Don't overlook this! Flagship speed and manageable compromises
Key point: £600 for flagship performance, 90hz amoled, but average camera.I upgraded from an S8+ and it's an upgrade in every way. As a casual user who sometimes uploads a photo and snaps holiday pics this camera is absolutely fine! It produces great photos just not the best at zooming.Performance and the screen are outstanding the 6.55inch is comfortable in the hand and you don't have to shift it about if using one handed. It's beight, quick and pretty. The speakers are loud!OnePlus OS is clean, efficient and familiar you'll have no issue moving from any android device to this.Is it worth £200 for the wireless charging and better camera of the pro? Yes, probably, if you can afford it and really care about your snaps. But don't think the 8 is a sloucher by any means!!

Save money as this is just a good quality all rounded phone that won't disappoint
I feel that I am good when it comes to technology and intake a lot of time studying reviews analysing what good to note and what to ignore.I have never had a OnePlus before and was moving from a Samsung S7 Edge to this model. Should I get a OnePlus? Have the standard or get the pro?I clearly like my S7 but needed a phone with more internal storage. Lack of space was affecting the phones performance. So anything better then an S7 in my opinion would do and If I wasn't satisfied with the camera quality then I would have returned this and upgraded. To keep it short, this phone is amazing, fast, easy to use and the camera and sound quality is amazing.I dont see the need of buying the S20 Ultra as it's far to expensive. I don't see the need of it and people will be very happy with what the OnePlus 8 has to offer.Save your money, have a nice low SIM only deal package (I'm on Voda) and enjoyI have the 128gb storage as I upload my media on my PC and started to use Google photos to store my media
