Does what it says on the proverbial. Very sturdy, works well, good price.I'm not sure I understand the various comments about welding quality or large holes. If you live in Chelsea and want a faux rustic latch to match your 4x4 or iron wrought garden ornaments, this might not have the elegance to impress your neighbours. But if you want a sturdy latch, e.g. to replace one on a farm gate, this is a very good low cost purchase. You'll also need to get good-sized, heavy duty bolts or screws as appropriate to attach it to the wood/stone/brick gatepost.

Order was delayed and I needed it urgently, then I had a prime trial so ordered another. Second product expected to be exactly the same but came with bolts, this was a bonus!

I have purchased two of these now to work with D bars. They are very robust and do the job perfectly. Quick delivery, easy to fit, likely to do the job for many years to come.

Sturdy heavy weight product

Luckily I had suitable coach bolts. No fixings were supplied and the fixing holes are about 15mm. Otherwise perfectly OK.

It does exactly what it is supposed to and is just solid & effective
