I haveN'T printed much since putting it in; however just the cost alone ($12) made me feel a whole lot better even if I don't get a ton of copies out of it. I don't use my printer much, but I like having it handy if I need to print a coupon or something. I HATE, HATE, HATE the cost of replacing the cartridges! The two together cost about $20 less than a brand new printer! Unbelievable! So this little gem will do me just fine. As little as I print, I figure it will last almost 6 months if not longer.

I'm still using the old cartridge, but wiill be ready when the ink runs out. Thanks

I am really happy with this ink cartridge. Even though I had to follow the simple instructions to make it compatible with my printer, it seems to be lasting a long time and I have been printing manufacturers coupons like crazy and it still shows its full. Normally, even when I buy a cartridge from Walmart, as soon as I put it in and print the alignment (which my printer forces you to do) you can see the ink already going down. So unless my ink gauge is broken, I am very satisfied with this cartridge.

I've compared it to working cartridges with me printer and I can see no difference - but this one does not work with my printer. My printer doesn't even recognize a cartridge as being loaded. It feels like it does have ink in it. Unfortunately, since I bought it before I needed it, I am not able to return it. Personally, I'd recommend just buying in brick and mortar stores so that if you get a cartridge that doesn't work, it's easier to take back. I only saved a dollar or two online as compared to in a store, personally.I'm unsure if it's a defective cartridge or if there is something subtly different about these than the usual 36 black I usually get. And since I can't get a replacement, I'm unable to test this at all.If you do buy online, TEST it before the return date passes!!

A lot of people review about the ink running out very quickly. We had the same issue. We went through the ink cartridge in a week or two. After reading on line I found out that if you change the setting the ink last substantially longer. Every time you print you must choose the properties and quick print. The ink has lasted months longer. Ink is ink, but the extra large size is also a great option over this ink cartridge. You will get a little more bang for your buck.
