Mini Cooper R56 N18 ..fits great ...I didn't have a problem with my original pcv value but replaced it anyway,So I didn't notice any difference , comes with the spring

The PCV membrane will tear and fatigue over time. The vehicle will become less powerful, may stutter, blow more oil through the exhaust, and/or screech like a Banshee from some cursed bog. BMW/Mini will tell you this part is not repairable and charge you several hundred for a new Valve Cover. Spend the $30 bucks on this kit and save your wallet some trauma. Easy to install. You may need a single flathead screwdriver to gently lift the cover. Lift and slightly turn the cover anti-clockwise (Counterclockwise), remove old cover, membrane, and spring. Keep the spring. Wipe it out and clean it up. If you break parts, JB Weld can fuse them back. Place the spring in the well, put the new membrane and cap in. Squeal gone. Car better. You strong. Win day. Seize fish.

Linked a photo of the part sent (left) and the part removed from my base model 2012 MINI Countryman R60. The parts are somewhat similar in appearance, but this part will not fit my vehicle. I would have tried using the internal rubber gasket piece on the part sent but it is much larger than the rubber gasket piece needed. Would have given one star but the part sent looks like it could work for perhaps a regular MINI Cooper and would be sufficient quality for that purpose.
