OK, not great, but worth the price
This clock works pretty much as advertised. Both time and temperature are accurate. The alarm in mine was reasonably loud an rings for a minute with increasingly faster beeps. Snooze worked fine, but I only used it once to see how it worked.I agree with some reviewers that the clock appears to be cheaply made, but it is inexpensive. The design is clean: nice and unobtrusive. The viewing angle is not great. The LCD is similar to what was common 20 years ago. The viewing angle is better from above and the sides (about 20-30 degrees), but almost zero from below. Unless the clock is perched at the edge of a piece of furniture, this isn't a significant. The backlight is just bright enough. The batteries are easy to remove, popping out with a gentle pull on the ribbon in the battery compartment. When you put the batteries in the clock beeps rapidly. This is quite nice. I have a TV remote that requires multiple attempts to make contact.CONS: There are 2 reasons I rate this item 3 stars1) when using the light sensor, the batteries don't last much more than a month. This makes the sensor almost useless. Use rechargeable batteries with this.2) After replacing the batteries you have to set up the time, date, and alarm all over again. A small super-cap could solve this.

Good little clock
Good little alarm clock. Uses batteries so it's portable. Looks just like the image. The batteries last forever. Display is very clear and bright. The clock has a photocell sensor on the top that automatically turns on/off the backlighting. Press the snooze button and the display lights up more, enough to use as a flashlight in the dark. You can disable the backlight aswell. The alarm tone is a slow beep, that over time, speeds up.Like this: "beep... ... ... beep ... ... ... beep ... ... ... beep... ... beep... ...beep... ...beep... beep... beep... beep.beep.beep.beep.beep.BEEPBEEPBEEPBEEP." (I hope that makes sense...)Snooze button stops the alarm for exactly 5 mins before the alarm goes off again.Temp gauge does F or C. It's pretty accurate.Seems pretty durable, it has bounced around in my travel bag with no damage.I'm happy with it.

Good product for the price
Good clock for the price. I've only been using it one day but so far it keeps time well. The instructions are comical, "By transfer points / notes on buttons (2) button to the desired setting minutes," but fortunately setting up the time, date, year and alarm are all intuitive. You can select celcius or farenheit temperature display. Using the sensor switch allows the clock to automatically be backlit in dim lighting, or to remain dark unless the bar on top of the clock is pressed. I bought the clock for this reason because I like sleeping in a totally dark room, but sometimes do want to know the time without turning on a light. So far, a good product for the price.

Nice cheap clock but the light is way too bright at night
The clock is cheaply made and feels that way. However it is inexpensive so I can overlook that. The display is great and I love having everything showing on the display. The display is also way too bright at night and there is no way to adjust the brightness. I would like a clock like this with this size that has a regular display where the digits are illuminated and not the face of the clock. At night it is entirely too bright and lights up the entire room.

Not Bright Enough For My Nearsighted Eyes
I don't like these clocks with the sensors that only let the light come on when it's pitch dark in your room. I am very nearsighted and have other eye issues that make it a necessity for me to see the numbers on the clock all the time. I had hoped the sensor would allow bright light but it only allowed the dim light to appear when the room was almost all the way dark. The only way I would get the brightest light was if I pressed the Snooze/Light button on top. It stayed on for a few seconds then went back to dim. So not real happy with this clock. I do like the size. The numbers were decent sized but just not bright enough for my bad eyes. So if you have eye troubles or are nearsighted, I would not recommend this one.

Worst Clock I got and defective
I ordered this Alarm clock because I am having difficulty to read the clock at night. I got one talking Alarm clock which I brought from Hong Kong 22 years ago and still in good condition. When I got my order last Wednesday, I read the instructions and put new 3 triple A batteries. From the very start, it's not properly working. I tried to work on it until for 30 minutes, then I was able to let it work. But when I snooze the light, the number disappear and all left was just the background light. It went on for 10 minutes, then I finally decided to remove the batteries and reset the time and date again. The next day, I tried to give it a second try. Put a new 3 batteries again, same process and it won't do it. This Alarm Clock is really defective. It does not deserve even one star. When I was ordering it, I saw 3 five star reviews so I try to order one, but I found out, I was cheated. Can I get a refund on this!!!!

Good basic alarm clock style
Nice basic alarm clock. Nothing flashy. Easy to set. Best feature that I was looking for - not a bright clock face. Only brightens when you choose to see the time or snooze. My old alarm clock had to be covered up as it was bright all the time. Pleased with the purchase.

Good but really Bright
Good for what I was looking for as it is easy to read across the room. But it is REALLY bright in the dark, almost like having a night-light on. If that doesn't bother you, I do recommend it.
