So overall the install was a bit complicated. Had no audio after install. Contacted manufacturer for assistance and had no help. After researching it further I finally figured it out. I enjoy the product but the headache of figuring out the audio was just terrible.

This worked flawlessly in my 09 335I E93. Install takes a little patience since spaces in these cars is so small. I ended up putting the processing unit behind the glove box. The kit included extension cables to make this capable. Once installed my phone connected easily and I know have a fully functioning apple carplay with not cables needed.

Unfortunately, my device started having issues within the first month.Issues: It will turn off/ disconnect the phone when driving longer than 30 minutes then sometimes power back on. Audio at times was poor and would have interference. Google maps would flicker a lot and at times can not display a solid connection to the phone.I contacted customer support via Whatsapp - it took a long time for them to respond. Eventually, when they responded they kept telling me to send pictures/ videos of the device failing. Which I was able to do even though that's a little tough to pull over every time the system turns off, flickers ...etcI sent them videos and pictures but they were not willing to send me a replacement to HONOR their warranty. I suggest looking elsewhere when purchasing this device unless they commit to better customer service.
