Decent quality
Product is decent for leather projects, not for tooling. The backside is certainly strange as others have noted, but not a show stopper. Just don’t apply tape to the back or you’ll be left with a shag rug when you remove it. I don’t know what that backing is, but it pretty much prevents you from sanding the edge of the leather.Laser cuts and engraves nicely for my projects.

Not to thick not to thin
Made a finger thimbal/protecter for sewing leather and heavy nylon. Perfect!

Not great for detailed tooling
I bought this to make embossed earrings. It’s not great to work with in this respect.

Is this really leather??
As others have noted, there are weird grid lines on the inside.The other thing is that this doesn’t smell like leather.This feels, looks and smells more like PU fake leather.
