We love this poaching pan! We chose it partly because it has a metal handle. Our last pan handle was made of a black material that overheated and cracked after several years. We are impressed with the heaviness of this pan and the egg cups that are bigger than those of the old pan. We used to be limited to cooking medium-large eggs and can now poach extra large and jumbo. We smear a small amount of butter on the cups before adding the eggs, and the eggs slip out when cooked by just inverting the cups. I believe we have been turning out the best poached eggs ever with this new pan. It is really nice looking too.

Knob of the lid traps steam and holds it.
Poaches eggs great. Steam becomes trapped under the knob of the lid producing condensation and water. To remove the retained water you have to unscrew the knob. The lid could have been better designed for the price of the pot.

Eggs to Perfection
The perfect way to cook eggs! I love this egg poacher as it makes my eggs like restaurant style. My favorite way to serve the eggs is on toast with a smashed avocado and a dash of hot sauce. Yummy!

Looks great just delivered this afternoon will try it out tonight , great quality pan I think I’ll be using it often good price for a great brand name! Used it for the first time for jumbo eggs put a drop of olive oil in each cup I think it simmered for maybe five minutes he’s really were good size eggs and it came out perfectly I have to buy some Canadian bacon and English muffins and make eggs Benedict this weekend I’m watching what I eat so I’m having two poached eggs instead of soft boiled every morning it’s a great contraption not like I didn’t already have too many pans but Demeyere is wonderful quality cookware you could find something cheaper I am sure but when I die and it goes to a nephew or a niece that enjoys cooking I’ll be smiling in heaven

High-Quality, Bad choice the manufacture puts a sticker on the bottom that does not come off cleanly
High-Quality heavy gage stainless steel construction, I purchase this more expensive due to the quality. But then they place a Made in Indonesiasticker on the bottom that is hard to remove and leaves glue and sticky damaging the blood of the steel on the bottom, even with Adhesive remover, it does not come off. A shame they damage the product this way
