it worked but keep the O ring from your old one from the top cap this one does not have one and also the back double O ring is spaced to far apart so you have to use your old one.

This was a perfect fit. Careful note….If your bonnet ring does not unscrew…order one of those too, take your time and cut the old ring off carefully with a dremel or hacksaw. There are some good YouTube videos. Don’t wreck your brass valve body or wall pipes.Tub no longer dripping, hot/cold adjustment is smoother.

Well made, direct replacement, easy install. Works as good as the original . . . hope it lasts as long!

1st valve received look like it was a returned product, it leaked. Replacement valve I received works fine,there was some updates that where more like the original valve.

The shower cartridge was pretty easy to install. I just cleaned off the old hard-water build-up and things went pretty smoothly. Just buy the right part the first time. That's why I said to call Delta (or your Original Equipment Manufacturer) first if you are not sure of the year and Model. I took pictures of my old one and sent it to them, then they were able to figure out what Model I had. The replacement came with the ability to accommodate two different Models (Example; Model 1700 vs. Model 1500) but it only showed the instructions for one of them, but it was pretty simple to figure out what to do and use to adapt it and make it work just buy comparing it to the one I was replacing. Do not use adapter kits from big box stores and try to upgrade the looks of your shower handle! They don't work and you'll just waste time! Use the original parts and just clean them up and re-install and you shouldn't have a problem.

Shipment was fast. Installation worked great. And of date this is working perfectly. Would order again.

The keyway is square on new where the original is a triangle. I used exacto knife to cut away excess. Also rubber gasket isn't same diameter or original it's thinner, but no leaks. I made it work, but it took time. Still cheaper than original delta.

My contractor broke my original during install and this was perfect replacement…easy install if you pay attention.

I read the reviews, it doesn’t seem to be a perfect product, but for price I thought it is worth trying. So I bought it. Now it looks like I made a good decision. At least so far so good. The old one was leaking is because the springs cannot create enough pressure, so water went through. I think if I just replace the 2 springs it should also stop the leak. The new one is more smooth on the temperature adjustment. At least I see a bit copper in the new one, the old is all plastic. I also made a mistake when I put everything back together. I found the water is not hot enough. Then I took it apart again I realized it is fully adjustable in the handle. We can actually define what is the highest water temperature. I hope this can help someone like me who get the hands dirty on this the first time.

This is not a direct replacement for #RP46463. I had to use parts from my broken cartridge to make it work. The average do it yourselfer would struggle to make this part work.
