The Aqmos BM-R2D2-32 has an electronically controlled BNT 1650 valve, which measures the water flow by means of an integrated water metre. If the preset volume of soft water is reached, the unit will not enter the regeneration phase immediately, but instead uses a time delay and waits until 02:00 at night. The Aqmos BM-R2D2-32 consists of a cabinet housing with a removable lid. A GFRP (glass fibre reinforced plastic) pressure bottle is built into the cabinet, which is filled with high-quality ion exchange resin. The cabinet housing is also used as a regenerating salt container for the preparation of brine (salt solution) and can hold a salt reserve of 25 kg. The system is completed by a water-volume-controlled BNT 1650 valve, which is ed on the GFRP pressure bottle. The system immediately generates water in the cold water pipe at 0° dH after starting up. With the built-in mixing valve (adjusting screw), you can adjust the desired water hardness. The correct setting for pipe protection is 6 °dH, and for coffee preparation 5° - 7°dH. The Aqmos BM-R2D2-32 works according to the ion exchange process, i.e. it replaces the "hardness minerals" calcium (Ca2+) and magnesium (Mg2+) proportionally with sodium ions (Na+). The limescale is therefore removed and the result is soft water. Depending on the water hardness / water consumption, one salt filling is sufficient for about 2 - 3 months (rule of thumb: 1 kg per 1 m³ soft water), after which new salt must be added. An integrated safety float valve with buoy prevents overflowing and protects the cabinet housing. The dimensions of the system are W: 220 mm x D: 460 mm x H: 650 mm. Additionally, approx. 150 mm space should be factored in at the rear for connecting hoses. If possible, leave space at the top for removing the lid.
