Excellent Bit
I used this bit to drill six 1" holes through a 30" diameter Red Oak tree to cable it off as a result of storm damage. I was skeptical at first seeing the bit when it arrived. I thought for sure it would twist off half way through the tree. But after using it, and taking my time with each hole being sure to clean out the shavings with each few inches of progress while drilling, it worked great! A testimony to the "Made in America" logo. I got all six holes drilled, saved the 100+ year old Oak tree, and the bill is still good for the next job. Well done Eagle Tool US! My story would not have had a successful ending had I bought the "Made in China" garbage at Home Depo or Lowes'.

This Flexy Drill Bit Got the Job Done.
I added an external duplex wall outlet. Power for it was taken from an existing interior GFCI outlet. The 1/2" x 36 inch long drill bit was exactly what I needed to get the job done. The 12/2 UF-B cable had to go from the interior outlet, down through the sub floor and sill (approximately 4.5-inches of wood). This got the 12/2 into the crawl space for easy passage to the exterior wall. While drilling I felt the bit strike a framing nail. But fortunately it wasn't a direct hit. So I was able to get past it without too much trouble. But I suspect the drill bit lost eight of its nine lives from the encounter with the nail. This project would have been more difficult without a long flex bit. No drywall repairs needed, everything was done inside the existing wall and in the crawl space.

Handles nicely and bit was stronger than expected
Very flexible and did the job. Excellent tool for perforating holes in a small in-ground pond liner to turn it into a flower bed instead.

Right tool for the job!
Used this to run a cable down a wall with a firewall that was 5ft from the top of the wall from the attic. I did have to use an endoscope to find the hole that was drilled in order to thread the wiring through the hole.

Screw tip helps a lot and the auger style made quick work of the floor I was drilling through
Works great. Drilled through the floor in between the wall cavity in its first try. The screw tip helped bite the wood so the bit wouldn't wander. The hole close to the drill tip should help a lot when trying to pull wires through. I used relatively thin twine at first (whatever I had in the house) in order to pull back the bit. Since the bit ended up in an awkward position I couldn't thread the twine through the hole so I ended up taping it to the bit. This made it next to impossible to take the bit back out by simply pulling. I ended up reversing the bit. The twine and tape was shredded when I got it out of the wall. So mental note, if you can't thread the hole don't think tape will simply work. I ended up using my fish tape which worked. It went through the initial hole without any issues.

Gets the job done, with effort. No thicker than 14/2 wire.
Brought these to drill holes for threading wire through studs to install my recessed ceiling lights. For the most part, it works. Drills through the studs (4x10s), though takes quite a bit of error. The screw teeth at the tip deff help with the grip which is great. I wish the drill bit shank were a bit shorter, cause it gets a bit hard to pull it out should I need to do adjustments. The hole at the back is good for putting your romex in to pull through to the other end. However, do note that the hole drilled is only big enough for a single 14/2 romex wire. Any thicker, and it won't fit. Even for 14/2, you have to pull quite a bit for it to go through. So if you need 14/3 or 12/2 or anything larger, get a large diameter bit.

Didn't need it, but still great quality and a nice tool!
I bought this for a project I've been doing at my house, running wires for a home theater system through existing walls. I was planning on using it to drill a few difficult locations. One was through the top plate on my wall, the other was through the joists on the ceiling to push the wire through. Well, for the top plate, the wall was an exterior wall and had insulation in it. I tried to use this to drill up through the plate in the wall, but it just got caught up in the insulation. I was also using a bumper ball and placement tool. So that didn't work, I ended up cutting a hole in the ceiling and drilling down from above. As for drilling through the joists, turns out I didn't need to. I didn't realize I have engineered truss-style joists in my ceiling, so no drilling necessary. So in the end I didn't need this bit. But I will say it is very good quality and not too hard to use from what I've seen, so for that I will give it five stars. I will recommend you get the placement tool if you're using it on existing walls. The placement tool is very useful for getting a vertical hole (and not drilling through your siding). I almost wish I needed this bit for something. Oh well, I will save it for another project.

Excellent product
I was installing some electrical sockets in a bedroom and was unable to drill a hole behind the socket and down through the floor board using a standard length flat bit, even after extending the bit, I could not get the correct angle for the drill. However after some research I came across these drill bits and they are brilliant due to having some flexibility in the shaft I was able to guide the drill into the correct position to allow me to drill an access hole for the cable.

Expecting more flexible, but it works
I was expecting the bend on this to be a bit more flexible, but its just enough to get into a stud wall, through a single pattress box size opening. Used a couple of times now, wish i'd bought the slightly larger diameter, as i'd done the rough sizing calculation in my head.

Not very flexible but well made and a good extension bit with some give.
I bought this because I use a fish bit at work and needed one for home. It is very good quality but the shaft is not flexible as it should be. I bought it to drill at a 90 Deg in walls. It works great as an extension as it is rigid and well made. Itโs not a cheap Offshore replica.

I was expecting it to be more flexible but not It just cost to much

Great tool
Used as needed to fit some extra lights and have a older house. That's means beams and drywall is lower so no empty space. Uses this to get and angle to drill through the beam. Has some bend. But personally would want more of a bend
