Q: does this need to be put together

Hello, thank you for your interest in Drive Medical! This Trigger Release Walker should arrive assembled, you should only need to adjust the height of the legs.

Q: how much does the walker weigh?

The basic walker weighs about eight pounds. Mine is about ten pounds since it has a couple of carriers with things like a phone, tote bags, and iPad in them.

Q: Can this have ski slides on back?

Yes, you can take off the glides that come with it and put on ski slides. I don't recommend the Drive ski slides which I got because they fit too tightly. Try another brand.
