Great Backup Drive – Samsung Never Disappoints!
This Samsung external drive is exactly what you’d expect from the brand – reliable, fast, and built to last. It’s been a perfect solution for my backup needs, offering plenty of storage space and consistent performance. The compact design makes it easy to carry around, yet it feels sturdy enough to handle daily use. Pros: ✔ Trusted Samsung quality ✔ Fast data transfer speeds ✔ Compact and portable ✔ Plug-and-play simplicity ✔ Great value for the storage capacity Cons: ✖ Basic design (no fancy extras, but that’s not why you buy it) Verdict: When it comes to storage, Samsung rarely misses – and this drive is no exception. Whether for work, photos, or system backups, it’s a dependable choice that won’t let you down.

Small, fast, reliable
I have several of these drives now, which I've been using for nearly 5 years and which I use for Time Machine for my Mac and as storage for a lot of valuable archive material, including large audio and video files. These drives are superb - incredibly fast, reliable and astonishingly small. Previously doing back up or storing archive material was so laborious because the various hard drives I had were always runnig out of space and reorganising files between multiple drives was insanely slow. These drives solve that problem - everything is so quick and easy now.

Samsung Portable SSD T7: The Ultimate Storage Marvel!
The Samsung Portable SSD T7 (MU-PC1T0T/WW) is hands down the best hard drive I have ever had the pleasure of using. First and foremost, the speed of this SSD is mind-blowing. With read speeds of up to 1050 MB/s and write speeds of up to 1000 MB/s, it delivers lightning-fast data transfers and significantly reduces waiting time. It has revolutionized the way I work with large files and has made data backup a breeze. The compact and sleek design is not only aesthetically pleasing but also incredibly portable. It fits comfortably in my pocket, making it the ideal companion for on-the-go professionals and creative individuals. The build quality is exceptional, as expected from Samsung. It feels solid and durable, giving me confidence in its reliability for long-term use. Compatibility with USB 3.2 Gen.2 ensures versatility and fast connections with various devices. Whether I'm working on my laptop, transferring files to my desktop, or even using it with my gaming console, the Samsung T7 performs flawlessly. In summary, the Samsung Portable SSD T7 is a game-changer in the world of storage solutions. It's the epitome of speed, portability, and reliability, making it an absolute must-have for anyone in need of high-performance storage. Without a doubt, a well-deserved 5-star rating for this exceptional hard drive!

Fantastic SSD from SAMSUNG
Didn't encounter any issues except I had to reformat the SSD to GUID before convert it to APFS system. Speed was impressive but the size is a bit of a letdown after using Micron Crucial SSD, a bit heavier too.

Fast, compact and reliable
The Samsung T7 Portable SSD has exceeded my expectations. Transfer speeds are incredibly fast — large video files move in seconds, and working directly off the drive feels almost as smooth as using my internal SSD. Perfect for editing projects on the go. The size is another big plus: it’s small, lightweight, and fits easily in a pocket or laptop sleeve. Despite its compact form, it feels solid and well-built, with a sleek metal casing that also helps dissipate heat. Setup was simple — just plug and play. Samsung’s software for password protection and encryption is also a nice bonus for extra security. One small note: since it’s so tiny and light, it’s easy to misplace, so I recommend keeping it in a case or pouch. Other than that, no complaints

Mighty Mite!!
This drive is tiny and fast! Amazing how technology has packed so much into a small device. I remember lugging around an old school hard drive mounted in a case with a power supply. About the size of a cigar box. I have several of the Samsung and would buy again.

Blazing Fast, Pocket-Sized Powerhouse
I bought this to replace my aging external drive, and wow—this little beast flies. With read speeds up to 1,050 MB/s and write speeds close behind at 1,000 MB/s, transferring massive video files feels like copying a text document. It’s whisper-quiet, stays cool under pressure, and fits in the palm of your hand—like a futuristic chocolate bar, minus the calories. Setup was plug-and-play on both Windows and Mac, and the included software makes password protection a breeze. The 4TB capacity is a dream for content creators, photographers, or anyone hoarding digital memories like they’re rare Pokémon cards. If you’re still using spinning disks, this is your sign to upgrade. It’s sleek, sturdy, and so fast it makes your old drive look like it’s powered by hamsters.

Fantastic upgrade from my HDD but potential packaging flaw
So I have an external HDD for my laptop that has failed a couple of times now. I'm getting fed up of running Dsk chk as it's a 4TB drive and takes about 3 days to complete! I decided it was finally time to bite the bullet and get an SSD, as I suspect the damage gets done because the drive gets moved or knocked about. The data on it is mostly games and non-essentials but I'd rather not lose it all. This is a very expensive drive for me to consider buying but I was swayed by the positive reviews, so I was anxious about what I'd get! I must say, I love how small and light it is! It's ideal for me, as I am always moving it about; there are no internal moving parts to knock about and it's so much less clunky than my HDD. This means I've actually been able to pop it into a pouch on the back on my monitor, which really improves mobility and security. I've not had a chance to use it excessively yet and I can't speak to it's longevity but it's nice and speedy. With its compact and light build, it'd be ideal for a range of uses, including for photographers, music in your car or phone backups - anything requiring portability really. The one flaw I have identified so far is not with the drive but with the packaging. The drive is sat loose in a small card tray (also loose) in the top of the inner box, with a cardboard 'lid' over it. This box then sits inside a card sleeve. The issue with this is that when you open the very swish outer box and slide the inner box out of the sleeve, if you aren't holding it the right way up, the cardboard 'lid' flaps open and your very expensive new drive takes a nosedive to the floor - or into edge of the coffee table in my case. This seems pretty stupid to me, however it does mean I can vouch for the drive's advertised impact/fall resistance. In summary, I would recommend this drive but I'd recommend you sit down to unpackage it!
