Good kit, sticks work and drift is gone - some minor QC issues
I picked up this kit after my kids wear/tear on the switch caused drift in both of my left joycons. I had bought a Power A pro wireless controller but it, too, started to drift after ~ 4-5 months of fairly hard use. The set came as described, contained four replacement thumbsticks and all necessary tools for replacement. It also came with two metal replacements for the plastic 'locks' that hold the joycons in place when connected to the switch screen. A few additional screws for the main housing and another couple for internal components. The kit also came with an insert with a basic description and information on youtube videos for instructions. There was also a hand written note from 'Jess' thanking me for supporting their small business.Disassembly was straightforward: four tri-wing screws, move battery, three small screws for the piece that held the battery. Once that piece was moved to the side, you get access to the thumbstick. There's a few very small wires to move/disconnect, one for the thumbstick. The stick is held in by two small screws, one covered by a wire that needs to be moved. Careful pulling the thumbstick, as there is a thin felt/fabric piece that the stick can get hung up on as you pull it through the opening in the case.Replacing the 'lock' piece I mentioned earlier is fairly easy, but the piece didn't end up being a very good fit in my first joycon, but that honestly could be due to our Switch, not the piece, as the system as had some hard play (6- and 7-year olds) and the joycons have been torqued in the slots a few times. I elected to not use the metal piece in the other one.The new thumbsticks went in easily and the wiring and existing screws went back in without a hitch. Thumbstick and all buttons worked perfectly after reassembly. It didn't even need calibration.Given the price, I'm fairly certain they will last about as long as the originals, but I'm content with that rather than spending upwards of $100 on a new set of joycons as of this writing. There were some minor quality control issues with the kit of tools that came with it, namely in the screwdrivers. All of the heads were slightly off angle from their handles, particularly the tri-wing. It made reassembly a bit difficult and ended up with me nearly stripping one of the case screws. I decided to instead pull it and use one of their replacement screws but it didn't seem to fit quite as well as I couldn't screw it in all the way without the possibility of stripping it, as well.Recommended? Definitely. It's a cheap kit, has all the tools you need, and 30 minutes of my time is hopefully going to make some kids happy tomorrow.

Great little kit!
Got these in the mail, and within an hour was able to replace a shoddy drifting stick. Works perfect! Had zero issues popping it in, calibrating it, and was breezing through Animal Crossing without the villager wandering like a poltergeist or selling things I didn't intend to.The stick is pretty much an exact replica and runs like it should, there is only one very finite detail that is different, which personally I didn't care about in the slightest. The stick is SLIGHTLY tougher to wiggle around. Could just be the one I installed, but personally I prefer this as Nintendo's idea of quality missed the mark by a mile. The pressure needed to move it is hardly a difference and I guarantee most users won't even notice (or care). Definitely an improvement in my opinion as it feels stronger. As for the kit itself, definitely a lot of bang for the buck. Not iFixit level stuff, but I also don't wanna spend a crap ton of money on a tri wing screwdriver and some bits, so this is perfect for me. While I didn't need to use all the items present (suction cup, dust brush, spare caps, metal locking replacements), I did appreciate their inclusion just in case, definitely much appreciated. One additional thing I did notice, was that I actually received extra screwdrivers, another philips and tri-wing of a different make. Not sure why they were included, but thank you! Never hurts having another set.The actual process of changing the stick may be a bit daunting for some, but following the simple Youtube tutorial (there's tons of them) and using the tools included, it was an absolute breeze. I do tinker quite a bit, but I'm sure anyone would be able to follow the steps with relative ease.I think this is an amazing little kit and I definitely appreciate the cost effective approach. Thank you for helping us out when Nintendon't!

Best Kit For Repair of JoyCons!!! Made it so easy.
Ok, I don’t typically write reviews, but this is an exception. If you have joycons that are drifting or not working right this is the kit to fix that problem. My son was complaining about his joycons drifting very badly. So I looked up replacement joycons. Well for originals you are looking at around seventy dollars. And the I saw this kit for much less and thought, well I hate dealing with small parts, but I will give it a shot. Worst case I have to buy new joycons. So I bought this kit. It was delivered the next day. And yes there is a thank you note included with this kit which is a very nice touch. But on to the kit. These are not little cheap tools. They are very good quality and make the job very easy to perform. All one has to do is YouTube this and it walks you though the repair. The kit comes with four sets of thumb controllers. And little caps for better grip. It has extra screws(these guys are tiny), a good set of sharp tweezers. Screw drivers, a tool to separate the case, a small brush, etc. After about an 45 minutes I had the thumb controllers on both joycons replaced and up and running. My son is so happy that he can use his switch again. And I am happy it didn’t have to spend seventy dollars on joycons. Believe me, if you need to fix a set of joycons, this is the set you want to use.Thank you so much for a great value and for a good quality tool set that I can use on other small electronics.

very nice product
I'm very happy with the product, ordered it yesterday and got it today, very quick shipping, not even a prime member, the kit is very nicely done and well packaged, the extra screws that come with the package are a very nice addition and the extra pair of joysticks are nice as well, the metal ping are really easy to change and although, taking away the metal guide that holds the previous plastic pin is really hard to remove so i did end up slightly bending the tweezers but i re bended them into shape with pliers, the joysticks feel very nice and had no problems with them so far, took me about 1 hour to change both joysticks and the plastic pin for the metals one, and it was my first time doing it, very easy and simple to do with this kit, i definitely recommend this for future buyers

Cheap and it works
It's cheap and it works! My repaired joycon still holds up after 6 months of use so far. Youtube tutorials are so easy to follow and fix yourself.

Great tools and a friendly note!
I had a launch-era drifting joycon and one that's just starting to give me issues so I figured I'd try to fix the crap one before shelling out for a brand new one—again. The kit got here super fast and had a cute hand-written note thanking me for my business. It has everything you need to get started. I found the blue plastic tool super handy for moving ribbons out of the way. So far the tools are really great. I particularly like the free spinning ends of the screwdrivers that help me put even pressure on the delicate parts when removing or adding screws. I'll definitely be using these for other projects, so well worth it for that alone.Any problems with the actual joycons, I think, is down to Nintendo. These tools work exactly as advertised. Just find a good tutorial and it takes like 10 minutes max to swap the joysticks out.

Works!!
Didn't even realize there are kits to repair the drifting issue on joycons until one EB games salesperson actually showed me what's available in amazon. Gotta thank him one of these days.I bought this particular one because I have two pairs (that's 4 controllers) that all have the drifting issue. This set is a 4 pack. It arrived 2 days after ordering. And I now have 4 controllers that are back to normal!! The kit does have tools that you will not need, but hey, you can use it for computer repair, mobile device repair or any small electronics repair. You do need to have careful hands in removing the tape connections inside the unit. The 4 screws that require the y-O screw driver (comes in the kit) do get a bit stripped, so you have to be careful in feeling for the screw head before you strip it. Overall, for the cost, I'm satisfied. I was about to buy one pair of joycons for $100...but this one saved me tons of $$$. If you're technically inclined and/or patient, this is worth the buy. It's also nice that it comes with the rubber caps for the joycon stick...makes for a better feel of them. The case that comes with it doesn't latch that well, so it just stays open, but hey, i'm sure everyone has tool cases that they can put these in.

Good
I used it to swap out a joystick. It's been working great for about four months now.The tools seem to strip a little bit but works well.
