Not the same as the old Basic Edition
The last edition I purchased was the Quicken Basic Edition 2007. It did everything I wanted it to do. This 2009 Starter Edition is not half as good as the 2007 Basic program. Don't waste your money on the Starter Edition unless your a new user. I called Quicken and complained and they gave me a discount equal to the amount I paid for the Starter Edition off of a new 2010 Quicken Deluxe Edition. It is equal to the old Basic Version 2007. I am satisfied with the result.

It's ok
I don't like that I can't edit the auto insert of transactions as I did with the 2001 version. I was able to get my information from the previous version into it. It's taking some time to get use to it and learning how to maneuver through the program. I'm getting better at finding how to do things.

Ok for Quicken Beginners.
This software is adequate if you just want to track bank accounts and credit cards. However, the Deluxe edition is currently cheaper. I had a satisfactory resolution with customer service. However, just avoid the problems and go straight to the Deluxe version, especially for a lower price.

Good Change Over
I switched to this product from Microsoft Money and found that it handles everything I need to keep my finances in check. I would definitely recommend it!

useless product ; amazing bad ui ;
didnt get what I expected. I had high expectations seeing turbo tax online software but the UI for this product is at best confusing and misleading and at times obstructing the view or intent of next operation.Its export options are equally bad as it is inoperable with other tools.I had expected way better from Quicken folks!

I WAS USING THE 2001 VERSION FOR OVER 6 YEARS..I finally decided to update to 2012. It didn't fit my needs and was a little too complicated for me....The 2009 version is just what I need...The 2009 version was delivered from Amazon.com in a timely fashion
