Rarely does an item impress me as much as this one does. Even with it's caveats it still ranks as a great purchase. To TRULY appreciate this unit you MUST INSTALL the PC software. While the unit itself is packed with nice features the software control feature makes this amazing. I am still trying to learn all the features and functions on how to use the software. I really appreciate the fact that I can program a timed sequence that I can use to slowly ramp up the power and then back down again making one of my resistance heating projects a breeze. You can even change the boot logo to customize the unit to any image that is 320 x 240 in size.So far now I have MANUALLY controlled the unit from the front panel, controlled this via USB cable and have recently connected this via WiFI to my PC since I made sure to get the WiFi module as well. I didn't care for the mobile app at all.Also, the biggest complaint is mostly the fact that there is no software or manual included. You HAVE TO GO TO THE WEBSITE LISTED ON THE PLACARD printed above the QR code to get the PDF manual. In there you will find buried a hyperlink to get the software you need, then once you run it, be told there is an updated version of the software. The download times are RIDICULOUSLY slow and failed many times before I got it. Each version is a stand alone version that just runs from it's own folder.The Chinese to English translations don't go well. While trying to connect to WiFi I spent days trying to connect only to learn that when it told me to close the screen and let the unit finish connecting to the network that the instructions were wrong. DON'T CLOSE the screen until the unit is done connecting and you get the confirmations screen on the PC or mobile app. The USB portion however is far easier to use.Even with all the hassles I had I am really glad I got this. I can easily pump 200+ watts (40v at 5A) through this with no problem. If you want a power supply controller, this is great choice. Just remember you will need to supply your own Power Supply unit and case unless you buy a bundle deal.

This power supply is a delight to use, stable and reliable. Easy to operate and usable for a wide variety of applications. The unit has a quality feel about it and is aesthetically pleasing on the bench. Was able to repurpose an old laptop computer power supply (19.85v) (Read no cost) to provide the electrical input to the device, and although limited the output to only 18.85v, provides an adequate voltage range for my needs. The visual display adds to both the usability and functionality of the power supply. Very happy with the purchase.

So far, it works flawlessly for over a month. as far as connection to the computer, I selected Com3 for my USB setting instead of the default Com1 which I could not connect to my computer with. Even the software looks professional but I still preferred using the buttons for faster manipulation. Wifi connection was a little complicated to setup but I got it working after a couple of hours. the unit is doing what it's supposed to do. I'll give it a 5 stars for it's appearance and functionality!

I was looking to separately purchase a custom battery pack charger, and a bench power supply. So happy I stumbled on this device that does both things really well! I bought the case and power supply as suggested by amazon, and threw it all together without instructions with little hassle. I feel stupid for not buying a bench power supply like this years ago!

I didnt like that there were no instructions but was simple to build and YouTube has many videos to walk you through it

Loaded with features and works as expected. You'd be hard pressed to find a better bargain when setting up an electronics bench.
