Over all I'm happy to say the price is what led me to this purchase after reading reviews. Told myself why not?.... Well, I can say someone needs to change a few things with the directions to have the font increased. So what, I have fold more paper... if I can read the information I will fold it back to put with the product anyway.Next, the directions certainly need to have a editor who is being paid to edit the document.The instructions suck because of the three buttons that are available to use.And also, the trigger, is the Power Button btw.Felt very dumb after guessing.Maybe I over looked that when I was reading the font size 8, possible.Also, calibration. I get that... but I need more information other the the fact I change the degrees to negative or positive... like why would I even do that???Also, you led me to believe that you removed my batteries that should of been with it,because there a area for them in the plastic holder (inside box) that would fit batteries.I know there are number of reasons for it not to be mailed out.Not the point.• The idea that if I move my hair from my forehead now I must wait for a new temperature reading?But then again the font was so tiny .I got over trying to figure it out, said F this, and went without setting it up because I couldn't understand the instructions, or maybe because I was either to sick to read or fevered out and couldn't read or it was the whole thing of the delivery of the instructions...just know if you are completely trying this way of a temperature reader for the first time... don't do it.The cost yes its wonderful.But if you just want something that sits in the room with you for 30 mins and button pressed , done..... do not by this product.I hate that I have to really try to figure it out because, I will conquer the struggle of the font and bad delivery of instructions... if anyone successfully accomplishes this with no struggle, I seriously need to get well and really be like you. I commend you.

It needs to show the polarity for the battery. I had them in wrong and almost sent it back because it didn’t work..

We have an Omron in the ear infared instant read thermometer. Bought this unit as a replacement because the plastic cups or lens covers are getting harder to find and more costly. Not to mention that the old unit took three button lithium batteries.I am pleasantly surprised that this unit came with to alkaline batteries and not the cheap sink carbon which I usually included for free.I was considering buying the slightly more expensive no contact thermometer but it only stores 10 readings while this unit stores 32 readings!I'm glad that I chose to stick with this very reasonably priced unit.It has three measuring modes body, surface and room. I checked the surface temperature on the air conditioning thermostat and it was within one degree of what the digital thermostat was measuring air temperature.Measured surface temperature at return duct it measured 81.5 degrees Fahrenheit and the temperature at the vent was 67.5 degrees Fahrenheit. Between 10 and 15 degrees it's what you would expect for the difference.I can recommend this unit for home use.

It was very good after i read the manual and figured it out.

I like the fact it measures body temperature and room temperature.Easy to use and easy to read.

Nice size and heft thermometer with 3 settings to scan surface temp, room temps, and body temps. Has a good size display that is easy to read and back lit. Extra nice feature is that when a body temp is elevated it has 2 color modes (orange for above normal but not febrile, red for febrile/elevated temperature). Packages arrives with batteries ready to open and insert, which is also a bonus. However, minor discrepancy noted with accuracy. I've been monitoring my temp for over 2 weeks, due to an ER visit for a non-Covid issue. Had no Covid symptoms but understand how things can change. So a few times, especially if I am in fleece shirt, or pajamas, that the thermometer believes I am febrile. I had to re-check against another infrared thermometer, which showed my body temp at lower than the Vaxxen infrared. Not sure where the discrepancy comes from, to be honest. Still, overall happy with the thermometer.
