Pretext for Summer Camping
Been enjoying this blanket all summer under a tarp tent. I use it at least 3-4 nights/week. On breezy nights when air filters through the tarp opening and circulates through the ventilation gaps at the perimeter tie downs, it definitely keeps me from feeling any of the excess air flow. My body fat is only around my waist 😒, so other than that, I’m fairly thin. I have a decent tolerance for cold; this seems to keep me cozy down to 65°F at night. The coldest I’ve used it is down to 58°F. At that point I find myself needing some extra thin layer.I realized if I fold it flat instead of rolling up into its stuff sack, it slides into the bladder pouch of my backpack, which frees up more internal bottom space and adds a beneficial comfort against my back when the ruck is on.A regular fleece blanket does a much better job at insulating body heat, however this folds up much smaller than a standard fleece blanket. So that’s the sacrifice. However the outer shell does a good job of cutting down breezy chills, so it’s a catch 22.So far I’ve only washed it once under a very gentle cycle, and very low heat in the dryer for a very short time, but then I hung it out on a line. Held up well. No stitching came undone or anything like that. What I really like about it: due to the semi stiffness of the outer layer, I can grab the whole blanket up near my torso while laying down, and simply “flick” the rest of it straight down over my body, and it flies like a kite evenly down and over my feet, nicely covering me in one clean shot! It’s a little tough to do this when I pitch a smaller shelter, but its so nice not to wrestle with spreading out a blanket until you get it “just right” 😁. I noticed this worked really nice before I washed it. It lost a little bit of the stiffness after the first wash, but the concept still works. Just an interesting added little benefit wasn’t expecting or even thinking about.Overall, I’ve really enjoyed using this instead of a sleeping bag this summer. Which is now leading me to think that going with a quilt for winter camping just might be something to think about. There’s so much more freedom sleeping under a blanket as opposed to being confined within a bag.Thumbs up and recommend.

Warm, soft plaid
On the very first day when this plaid appeared with me, I took it with me for a picnic with friends. Everything is corny, but at the same time brilliant. The plaid is light, warm, really waterproof. The material this plaid is made of is excellent. The quality of the seams is good. Durability 100%. I would like more different colors. The bag is great, compact. If you love outdoor recreation and want to save money, then this plaid is exactly what you are looking for.

Just what I was looking for
I got this as an extra blanket for my camp cot when I sleep indoors. I have a light weight sleeping bag and sometimes that's not quite enough. This blanket is very large which I LOVE.Worth nothing: this is a VERY thin blanket. I like how one side is kind of a sleeping bag material, and the other side is a very thin fleece. Because of the fleece side, it doesn't slide off of my cot which is great.I have dogs that do shed some, and dog hair really sticks to the fleece side of the blanket...hence the four stars. But if you don't have pets, of course this won't be an issue for you.I have no idea how robust this blanket is, or how it will survive washing...I've not tried that yet. Time will tell. It is nicely portable, and compresses down into it's own stuff sack...nice for traveling. This blanket is VERY thin and won't be a super warm layer. It's best for light-weight warming jobs.

Light summer blanket for backpacking that blocks the wind
I was a little worried buying something with fewer reviews than other options, but this turned out to be a good purchase. Works well as a picnic blanket and as my summer backpacking blanket. I wanted something light that wouldn't heat me up a lot on a warm summer night, but would also block the breezes, which keep me up. I haven't tested it in the wild yet but trying it out at home, it seems like it will do the job. And it looks like the sewing and feel of it is good quality with no weird smells. I'd be careful with the handle on the stuff sack just because it doesn't seem like it could take extremely hard pulling, but this was a good purchase. Not overly expensive like a down blanket.

Warm and durable!
This kept me nice and warm while camping when I didn't think it was going to be quite THAT cold. Seems nice quality, held up great through washing! Packs up about the size of a volleyball, worth it!

Great for the outdoors
Great for the outdoors. Lightweight but warm and packs up small right back into the supplied stuff sack.

Large size, not as thick as expected. Machine or handwash unclear
Purchased because of the large size that would fit at the bottom of a tent but was thinner than expected. Also label was confusing - description online stated machine washable but the tag said hand wash only which seems ridiculous for such a large item and a total hassle. We were not willing to chance it in the washing machine so returned it.
