Good for sounding out words
I debated on buying these because people said they were too hard to get the pieces on and off. The trick is lining up the arrow with the grove on the bolt (see picture). The nut pieces are easy to spin once on the bolt and almost click into the next spot. I think they make them this way so that the words will stay in line and do not spin too easily. My daughter has liked them for sounding out words and word families. There are enough pieces for 6 kids to do the same activity at once.

Great educational game.
Love this. We now take a few bolts with us to restaurants instead of iPads, on road trips, to church (nice quiet pew activity for the girls), we find words before bed. Can't say enough about it. Super fun. Only idea would be one longer 'bolt' for kids to try to make a few longer words. Not that we can't do that without the bolt.

Overpriced
Word construction activity kit is an educational toy which gives the children the opportunity to explore word building by screwing the letter nuts in to bolt. However it is really hard to put as there is a certain angle you need to insert the bolts and it takes time for a 4 year old to understand it. It is a bit overpriced as this will be used for a limited time due to number of letters you can put in a bolt at once therefore I believe there might be cheaper options in the market which can do similar job. The quality of the product is very good.

Great for kindergarten
I use these in my kindergarten classroom. The kids make realAnd nonsense words and must differentiate the two. The letters are hard to get on so I have a rule the kids are not allowed to take them off.

Tricky for kids to manipulate
As a teacher, while I love the idea of this, it was difficult for my kids to manipulate. I would recommend it for first and second graders who typically have stronger fine motor muscles.

Perfect addition for your guided reading!!
My students LOVE making words with these!! I put them on the table at the beginning of my guided reading. Students have moved quickly from CVC words to vowel teams and onset blends! High recommend!

but that makes them even better!! Very sturdy and worth the money
Just what I needed for my kindergarten class learning to read and build words! They are larger than expected, but that makes them even better!! Very sturdy and worth the money!!

Not great
Not as enticing as I'd have thought they're quite hard to pull off and put in again also it doesn't have all the letters of the alphabet, my 2 year old son wanted to write his name but couldn't add there are no j's. For the money i didn't think it was worth it we have used it twice. Maybe we will come back to it?
