Great ergonomic comfort! Quiet enough keystrokes.
Great ergonomic comfort! Much better than other keyboards I tried that called themselves ergonomic.Love the tented keyboard. So much more comfortable than a flat or curved keyboard. This one tents higher than the original Goldtouch keyboards. I can type for twelve hours a day without discomfort. This is quieter than the original Goldtouch keyboard. People on the other end of a Skype or Zoom call no longer complain about the clacking noise when I'm not using a noise canceling microphone. There still is a little keyboard sound, but no complaints any more - and I've asked. The keys have a slightly better layout, although the backspace, delete, and escape keys are small and distant, so I find myself looking down from the screen if my finger doesn't hit one of them right the first time. The keystrokes are comfortable. They don't require too much effort. The build is solid. My previous Goldtouch keyboard is still in perfect condition after nearly fifteen years of daily use. The only reasons I got the new one were to get rid of the clacking sound and to have a USB connector instead of the old-school keyboard connector for which computers haven't had a port for years. The greater tenting, the slightly better layout, and the better key travel were unexpected bonuses.

Not good
There is no function to type a £ sign. The “ and @ symbols are not in the locations shown on the keys. The panel that lights up to show if you have ‘Fn’ or ‘Num Lock’ engaged looks like it was added post production. It is chunky and has a generally dated feel. The Enter key and backspace aren’t intuitive to get to which seems odd for a keyboard that is meant to make typing more comfortable. The adjustment element works. I can’t recommend - not at this price.

Broke after only 4 months
This keyboard was awesome until the screws that make it adjustable/ergonomic came completely undone after only 4 months of using it (see picture). The only way to get them back in is to disassemble the keyboard completely, which I assume will void the warranty. I paid over $150 for the keyboard, so I am really disappointed with the quality. I am connecting with the manufacturer now to hopefully get it fixed under warranty but if you don't want to have to deal with that hassle, I suggest you search for a different keyboard. Happy shopping!

Well-designed key placement and quality.
The Goldtouch V2 is an excellent ergonomic keyboard. I like the way the keyboard is split, the absence of the numeric pad (allowing the mouse to be closer) and the high quality of this keyboard.Individual preferences are so important in matching a keyboard with a user. The most important factors for me were finding a keyboard that (1) gets rid of the numeric keypad so that my hand does not have to go so far to reach the mouse and (2) places the Shift, Alt, Ctrl, Home, End, PgUp, PgDn, Del, Backspace and Arrow keys in places where I can easily touch them without looking down.As a fast typist, I prefer to keep my eight fingers on the home row (ASDF and JKL;) and press all special keys to edit text without looking down. The Goldtouch V2 does a good but not perfect job with the special keys. Less than great are the Right Shift and Right Ctrl keys whose tops are not as wide as the wide Left Shift and Left Ctrl keys making them a bit harder to find without looking. But there's a reason their tops are normal width: that allows some airspace between them and the Arrow keys. Isolating the Arrow keys is important to make them easy to differentiate from the rest of the keys. The Goldtouch V2 gets top marks for its ergonomic features. I needed a more ergonomic keyboard to ease the strain on my right shoulder. By bringing the mouse in closer to where the numeric keypad would normally be, that strain is reduced. Splitting the keyboard in the middle lets my forearms and wrists line up naturally with the home row keys. The keys have a light touch making it easy to unintentionally type them by resting your fingers on the keys. That makes adding a wrist rest essential so that you can take weight off of your fingers, especially when not typing. I passed on the expensive Goldtouch wrist rest sold separately and bought a simple gel-filled bar. A separate, small gel pad for the mouse keeps my hands at the same height when alternating between the keyboard and mouse. An alternative to the Goldtouch V2 is the Kinesis Freestyle2 - Kinesis Freestyle2 Ergonomic Keyboard for PC (9" Standard Separation) . It has all the same advantages of the Goldtouch V2, and better Right Shift and Ctrl keys, but I didn't especially like the fact that the two halves of the Kinesis Freestyle2 move independently. They give you more flexibility in positioning them - that's good - but I find myself frequently moving the keyboard slightly and with the Kinesis I need to move both halves. Not a big complaint.
