Fantastic
These are fantastic! Excellent quality! Fast delivery! Complete with carry bag. Wanted especially to carry when out on mobility scooter. Ordinary crutches too long to transport easily for when I get off scooter. These fold up & are just brilliant invention!

Wanted some new crutches for permanent use, some questionable design choices.
While my testing so far has been just a short walk to get a feel for the height and any adjustments I need to make I think I've seen enough to review them. The crutches look nice, feel light and are easy to use. The handles feel pretty okay though if you're using them all the time then buying some covers might be ideal as it's just plastic with no padding, they do have grooves to stop your hands sliding off though so that's something. They feel pretty solid walking around and fairly comfortable apart from the handles not having padding. Being a long term user of crutches and encountering the awkwardness of going out and trying to find places for crutches under tables at dinner and chairs when attending a show I though a folding pair would be much more convenient. They also come with a bag to put them in but they'll only fit at the lowest height so it's not very practical to use it to store them unless you want to adjust the height again every time you use them. The cuffs have velcro straps on them that are padded and soft though not to a great extent, another problem with long term use of elbow crutches is the plastic cuffs tend to chafe and hurt your arms so this could be a welcome solution if it's durable and doesn't rub too much in hot weather. The main reason I knocked off a star is the folding mechanism doesn't feel like it'll last long to me. Instead of a locking hinge they achieve the folding by an elasticated string that holds the two pieces together and pulls the bottom into the top to hold it in place when in use. They can be held together with a plastic clip and they do fold quite well but I'm curious how long a piece of elastic will last before it snaps making them completely useless. When folded the string is pulled tight over the edges which looks like it's digging into the string. Along with a fairly basic set of velcro straps and the plastic handles with no padding I start to wonder why these cost so much. I'm sure I'll get some use out of these but if it'll be the years of use I got from my last pair before a padded handle wore out we'll see. My last pair cost less than these and felt more well built just without the folding functionality. If you're fairly tall you might have issues with the height of the crutches as they are quite small. They definitely aren't made for big and tall people.

Do not buy these
- When folded they are still too big to fit into a regular sized backpack. The bag they come in is not really suitable for carrying with you. - The bottom rubber grips are not secured properly and have come off multiple times, once when exiting a train in Spain, where I had to quickly grab it off the floor before the doors shut. Other times they stick to wet ground. - After a few months of use the metal part has pierced through the rubber ends, making them impossible to use. See pictures. This put me in a dangerous situation where I slipped over on a hardwood floor, because there was no grip. - They don’t feel stable at all when using them to completely take the weight off one leg. They’re only suitable for occasional light use. Now I have to spend more money on another pair so I can leave my house. And I’m broke.

Brilliant
They are great quality and fit brilliant into my hand luggage for our flight to New York. Bought them as my partner uses crutches on and off when her knee plays up and didn’t want to Risk going away for a week without anything with us as there is a lot of walking involved. They came early so that was a relief.

Would be absolutely perfect if they were a little longer.
Now! What size are they??? This is some info I needed when buying them and I couldn't find it anywhere! As a student occupational therapist with multiple disabilities, I know what sizes I need and what i can make work for me after all these years and abit of training. ;) So let me help you out with their actual sizes, and how to find your indidual measurement for any walking aid: :) The basic measurements are: *From floor to the top of the cuff, when at the longest setting, they are 110cm, or 43 and a quater inches. *At the shortest length they are 90cm or 35 and a half inches. ***But! This isn't the best way to know what length you need!*** To get an exact measure for your own body shape, limb length and general size etc, you need to measure your own length needed. This is the length from the floor to wherever your hand will be. So get a tape measure, and measure from the wrinkles of your wrist,(where it bends) to the floor. You need to do this when you are standing straight (or your whatever your personal posture actually is when you would be using them) and your arms are naturally hanging down by your sides. It can help to do this with a friend, or against a wall you can mark with a pencil to measure if youre alone. This is the length you need for any walking aid as it is the length you need between the floor and your hand, where you press the handle and it pushes into the ground. This is the personalised length you need as it doesnt matter how long your arms and legs are and in what proportions, its just where your hands are above the floor. You measure at the wrist because you need a little extra length to actually push down on to. *So from the floor to the top of the hand grip, it is 91cm at the longest setting, or 71cm at the shortest setting. If your measurement of wrist to ground is between 71cm and 91cm they will be a good fit. For me, as a 5 foot 8 lady, they are 1 or 2cm (half an inch) too short to use as full weight bearing, as i would be hunched forwards too much. But since i use them for balance and abit of support when needed, they arnt a problem really. But when I've had to lean onto them alot more, the height is noticeably too short. If you want to actually weightbear on them though, an OT or Physio would want you to fit in between the 71cm and 91cm measurements. This is to protect your spine and posture. And to stop you from being in pain and knackered. To help make mine a tad longer, I bought 19mm Proop ferrules to boost them abit. (They are On amazon and I swear by them! Been buying them for years for all my sticks) ALSO!!! These crutches take 19mm ferrules too. NOT the 2.2cm like stated. So that's a good one to remember if you need new rubber ends, or like me, you just want colour, a little extra height, or just the security and familiarity of a preferred brand. The cuff height is also NOT adjustable, but it seems just right for many sizes as it's got the hard plastic as an open cuff with a soft velcro elasticated strap, which doesn't dig in and is a decent size for all users. It also seems pretty tough so far too. I'm planning on contacting the company to see if they can develop a longer length set as they are fab in every aspect except the length. And if I was a bloke, 5 foot 8 inches wouldn't be that tall really. Bit I've gotta say, buying them without knowing the length was worth the risk. They are fab ;) Very light weight at 420g each, easy folding, sturdy plastic clip and strong elasticated velcro.... these are absolutely brilliant. And if the description was actually accurate, and they were longer, it would be a perfect 5 stars. I'm not that tall and could be manufactured to be longer length. But until then I'm sad to only give them 4 stars. But still highly recommend to anyone 5 foot 6 and below, they will not disappoint.
