TEKPREM Y00 Triwing Screwdriver for Nintendo Switch Joycon Controller Repair

The tools worked perfectly to allow access and fix the broken L1 button/ribbon cable on my sons Joycon for his Switch. Only the small Phillips screwdriver is magnetic, the tri wing screwdriver is not. If you just hold the tri wing next to the Phillips right before using it though, it will give the tri wing enough magnetic power to help it hold the screws while you remove them, just be gentle.The opener (similar to a guitar pick) is perfect for gently removing the cover, the prying tool for removing the battery and battery connection, the spudger for lifting the clip that holds the ribbon cable in place, and the tweezers for removing the old, and installing the new ribbon cable.They are not Snap On or Klein grade tools, but they are very well made and solid for the task at hand and will last for the foreseeable future.

Great kit to have for any Nintendo user.I've been looking around for the cheapest set that could be used to open my joycons and my 3DS and this appeared to be a great option for a good price with some extra tools incase I needed them. I fix my drift with it and I was able to swap out a component on my old 3DS I just had not bothered getting too because I didn't have the tools.Great set, good quality. You might want to get a smooch of WD-40 on the palm spinner at the very end though because on some of them they squeak, but really the sweaking doesn't matter so much when you're only planning to be fixing a joy-con with drift and then done with it. It will do the job and if you get the kit and later on you find a nintend-issue it will pay you back then some by saving you plenty of cash on what otherwise would be a larger gamestop bill, and who doesn't love saving money.

If you got no tool to work on any devices really this is a good set but i would suggest if you plan to work on a lot of stuff to get a known brand set like iFixit or a like. So good set to start out with but to not stick with forever

The thumbnail shows other products the brand sells but the listing is for the screwdrivers which honestly might be a bit misleading to people who just click buy without reading the description.Anyways I bought these because I was replacing my Switch's shell but the Tri-wing screwdriver provided by extremerate broke.The Tri-wing included here is perfect and works a billion times better than extremerate's brown tri-wing, the other standard screwdriver is a bit too big for screws on the switch but it will work, though if your not careful you might scratch the coating off the screws.Pretty happy with my purchase though, would I buy again? Most likely, but I'm definitely checking the description to not be mislead by the thumbnail.

I bought these mainly because I needed replacements for the Y screws and figured it never hurts to have extra tools on hand. The difference between the screwdriver in this set and the cheap plastic red one that came included with my stick replacement kit is like night and day. The old screwdriver was awful, could barely grip the heads and stripped every screw it touched (to the point that I had to drill through my joycon shell to get a screw unstuck). By contrast, this set's screwdriver pulled every screw right out with no stripping. I was dreading having to open my joycons up again but this kit made it SO easy.

This purchase was to made to replace the Joy-con analog stick on my families Nintendo Switch. The switch has special screw heads that I was unaware of needing after some searching for these drivers and bits I decided on this product as it provides all of the necessary tools to perform the task at a VERY reasonable cost. The tools feel sturdy and well made and performed the task very well.Having these tools allowed me to replace the Joy-con analog stick for less than $15 in total (with the replacement parts as well) vs. paying $70 for a new unit all together.

I ordered this because I needed a Tri wing driver for replacing a drive on a Nintendo Wii. The spudger tools worked for removing the feet and protective stick on covers, but a metal one would be a better choice. I used both spudgers with decent results.Overall it did exactly what I needed it to and would recommend it for anyone who needs to replace a disc drive on a Wii!
