Function and fun
The media could not be loaded. Dark enough for me to use comfortably while welding with an acetylene/oxygen torch and sturdy enough to take some of my workplace abuse. They also have a humorous cosplay/Steampunk look to them. The padding around the goggles are firm enough to be tough and soft enough to be comfortable. They have two adjustable sections for a secure fit around your head. The lens are are easily removed by turning the outside covers counter clockwise. Each lens has writing on the inside portion near to the edges just out of my field of vision. This is typical of welding goggles so as to identify (here in America) the ANSI rating with respect to impact resistance and darkness of the lens. These however are not marked as such but do have some sort of reference numbers etc on the lens.Seemingly strong ventilated metal housing hold them all together via a leather connecting strap. As far as cosplay or Steampunk goes...well not for me, but my son saw them and he seemed to have some fun with them right away. Yes they are humorous. The fact that they are also listed as welding goggles but fail to have ANSI rated lens gives me some pause for concern. For my general use they work well and as long as I realize that no safety ratings have been assigned to these lens and take prudent precautions when welding. And so because of the lack of the ANSI rating I am giving these 4 stars. If I were to buy them solely for Steampunk or cosplay I would rate them 5 stars.Disclosure: I received this item for a discount in exchange for an honest and unbiased review. I paid for these. The manner by which I obtained this item has not influenced the outcome of my review.Thank you.

Not a welder or cosplayer
I would like to preface that I am not a welder and I also did not buy these for a steampunk costume. I purchased them because I am extremely photosensitive and my eye doctor suggested a welding goggle if polorized lenses were not cutting it. Figured these would be worth the money to try them out. It was like an immediate relaxation when I looked through them. They make everything seem dark like a rainy day which is perfect for me.The strap is as cheap as people warned about. I just rigged it back on. I also have a smaller size head. This would not work for someone with a bigger head. I’ve been told they don’t seem as dark as actual welding goggles but since I’m not a welder I don’t care. They make me feel calm and a little mad max at the same time.

Great for cosplay!
So...these are great for dress up. My 5 year old is pretending she is a pilot and my 14 year old says they could be part of an Anakin Skywalker costume. I showed these to my brother, a welder/welding inspector, and he would not even test them because of their weight and structure. He thought they would not protect his eyes at all. Bottom line, these are great for dress up and for someone with a small head. My husband who usually wears a size XL flex fit cap tried these on and they fit very tightly. They look just like in the photo and the description is right on. If you are needing this look, get these. Very light weight and the strap is cottony and comfortable. I received this product at a discounted price for my unbiased review.

Real metal frames 👍
Fantastic. I wanted something cool for the motorcycle and got it. The frames are actually metal, which is great, I hate plastic. The lenses are VERY dark and have a neat green tint. Very sturdy.4 stars, because the strap is okay at best. Not a deal breaker, but a little flimsy compared to the actual goggles.

The goggles themselves are sturdy. The strap between the nose is not adjustable
The goggles themselves are sturdy. The strap between the nose is not adjustable. I had to secure the headstrap with small safety pins as the material slips in the straps a lot. They are comfortable enough to wear for a while - though you will notice outside light from around your nose and the multiple vents along the metal sides. The vents are quite small, but do let in light.I immediately replaced my lenses to a different grade so I don't have anything to say about the original lenses.

Googles R great but the strap is weak
The plastic holders for the head strap R super loose, they practically fall off. You’ll need to sew the straps and loose the ability to adjust the size or replace the strap with another one.

- sturdy frames - replaceable lenses - comfortable to wear for ...
pros:- sturdy frames- replaceable lenses- comfortable to wear for long periods of timecons:- non-adjustable nose bridge- flimsy elastic headband- delicate lens caps (about as thin as a soda can near edges)purchased for a project other than welding, these goggles do not disappoint. the elastic band was the first thing to go, but the wearer also happens to sport a larger than average noggin (the band was easily replaced with cord and a toggle).

Their cool but not comfy
They’re really nice goggles, they look exactly how the pictures shows them HOWEVER they’re not all THAT comfy as people are making them out to be. Im just blowing the lid off here. Other then that yes I recommend these to you guys. They’re good to wear around for style not just for costumes. Thank you ❤️
