First Time Mom's Favorite Piece of Baby Gear
ERGObaby Four Position 360 Carrier, Dusty BlueI had my first child May 2015. During her first 8 weeks, I relied upon a Moby Wrap to carry her around. I disliked using it for a myriad of reasons, including that: 1) I could not get the yards and yards of fabric spooled around me without dragging/dipping them across the ground (and thereby through the dog hair, dust, etc); 2) I never managed to put it on uniformly from one outing to the next; 3) it was suffocating to wear here in New Mexico during the summer; and, 4) my child eventually seemed too big at 10 lbs to be hanging around in such an unstructured thing. I was therefore intrigued one day at Target by the array of ERGObaby carriers. On impulse I bought the ERGObaby original carrier and original Infant Insert pillow there. They were comfy, although I returned them the next day after I discovered the Performance carrier and the performance Infant Insert pillow at Amazon.com. I ordered the latter because I perceived that they would be cooler to wear (what with their synthetic performance fabrics) than the cotton of the Original Carrier and original Infant Insert pillow. The Performance carrier was just as comfy but not appreciably cooler. As such, and because I felt like it would be nice to carry my daughter front-facing, I exchanged the Performance Carrier for the ERGObaby Four Position 360 carrier. (I kept the performance carrier Infant Insert pillow). I haven’t looked back since, and I have been using the carrier on a weekly basis to do things like walk the dog, go grocery shopping, and visit friends. I particularly like that: 1) my daughter is neither flopping around nor squished in the carrier; and 2) I can get her in and out on my own standing beside the car and without having the carrier touch the ground. I also like how cushy the straps and waist belt are, i.e., I don’t feel like they are cutting into me. The fabric and stitching are of nice quality, and I like the pattern and color (particularly given that I’m sick to death of everything pink). Although my daughter was small (i.e. 25th% for weight and 33rd% for height at 2 months) I felt like the base of the opening of the Infant Insert cocoon was too narrow and observed that, after spending time in the pillow/carrier, she’d have red marks where the sides cocoon pillow dug into her legs. I therefore left the cocoon uncinched a couple of times to see if that would give her more room. It did, but leaving it uncinched made it a little harder to get her in and out. We persevered, nevertheless, until she was a couple of pounds heavier, a couple of inches taller, and had better neck control – at which point, we ditched the cocoon and just placed the pillow insert under her bum to give her a boost to see out.

Best of the 3 I tried - supportive straps for heavy baby
This one was the winner from the FOUR I ordered, beating out carriers by Tula, Infantino, and LÍLLÉbaby. Uncomplicated, thick shoulder straps, quality design, lightweight and cool, wide lumbar and front support pieces. I purchased this (open box for the win!) recently and have already worn is every other day! Our 10-month old is nearly 30lbs and requires extra support to be carried around when a stroller isn't the optimal mode of transportation. My husband and I are both over 5'10" and have been successfully wearing baby without issue. We've attended festivals, gone shopping, hiked, ran errands, and baby is content in his carrier! There is a learning curve to getting baby into carrier without the help of a partner, but I'm getting the hang of it. I'm still nervous to try getting baby onto my back solo. But I'll have to learn since he can no longer sit in the front, outward facing, after 30lbs. Thankfully the side hip option and backpack option allow him to be carried up to 45lbs. I have yet to try the hip option.I can see the benefit of purchasing a drool cloth cover, as the carrier is already dirty from us feeding him on the go. But I think I should be able to wash the entire carrier in a delicate wash bag.The only thing that I can warn you about is the mesh material will leave red marks on baby's thighs if he's not wearing pants. I understand that the mesh is to keep baby from overheating, and the red markings do go away fairly quickly, but I don't know if it's uncomfortable for baby in the meanwhile. He hasn't cried in the carrier!I wish I had the option to carry my phone, wallet, or car keys somewhere in a pouch on the carrier. I saw I could buy an aftermarket attachment from Etsy. It's complicated to wear the carrier AND my fanny pack, so I've been opting to wear pants with pockets for all my storage needs.

Very comfortable and cozy
Nice fit. I'm 50 years old. I bought this to carry my 6 month grandson around the house when I do house work. He loves it ! I'm 5'5" and average weight. Once I figured it out it's really easy to put on and off by myself.

This is my favorite carrier!
I own 4 different baby carriers. Ye, four. I own a Boba Wrap, a Baby K'Tan, the ERGObaby Performance, and now this one. Although I still prefer the Boba Wrap for smaller babies, and the K'Tan because it fits nicely in my diaper bag for unplanned baby wearing, this Four Position 360 carrier is my favorite. My daughter is a petite 6 month old and I am a petite female (generously, 5'2"). I love that this carrier is not only adorable (dusty blue with coral polka dots...are you kidding me?!)...but also versatile and comfortable. As compared with the Performance carrier, my daughter doesn't get so "lost" in this carrier. We have to use the infant pillow accessory for the Performance but I don't have to use it with this one. She's still positioned the way she is supposed to be, but can see over the top when the front flap is folded down. Overall, it's a very comfortable carrier for both me and my baby.If I were to air any gripes, they would be these: I have a love-hate relationship with the velcro waistband. Our Performance carrier has a buckle with a safety strap. In some ways, I prefer it because the velcro is loud and, as a pet owner, obnoxiously picks up every piece of hair in existence. I also wish it were easier to do and undo the back buckle. I find that it's a bit difficult to reach with my small arms. I've given myself a few arm/shoulder cramps straining to get that thing done or undone by myself! Take that with a grain of salt, though...I've also done the same thing trying to zip or unzip dresses.Bottom line: I DEFINITELY recommend this product. Of all my carriers, this is my favorite. If I had to pick just one, it'd be this one.Hey ERGObaby...if you see this, my only request is: can you make some "fashionable" teether covers?! I'd be all over that...
