Does this have track?

It does not come with the tracks. Just what is shown in the picture.

Do you have to own a track for this to work or will it roll along the floor to?

The motorized engines run great on bare floor. They run, too, on carpet, but are not as fast. Trackmaster track is available, but my little guys are quite content with racing the engines on the wood floors.
