Best camera purchase for 100% record system in my home

I own (6) Arlo Pro 2 cameras but they are old and have black and white night vision. So I thought I'd try this one. I purchased this Nov. 2022 and it has died as of 3 weeks ago. (Aug. 2023) Keep in mind....this camera does NOT have a replaceable battery. If the battery dies, the camera is shot. It requires a monthly subscription to view video after the 30 day trial expires. It does NOT have micro sd storage. The video is good (day & night) for a $69.99 wireless camera. (I see they are cheaper now). ANYWAY, I contacted Arlo since this has a 1 year warranty. You can only use the chat on the website to contact someone. If you don't have a monthly subscription, they will not chat with you. I understand they are "reading from a script" but I have been going back & forth for 3 weeks. They want me to try a different usb cable, try a different power supply, try to reset it (YOU CAN'T DO THAT IF THE BATTERY IS DEAD). Last week they asked me to send a picture of they power supply. (I did) which is the same one I charged that camera and my (6) other Arlo. Now they want me to send them a video of me trying to power it up AND RESET it. I give up and will not waste anymore time trying to get this thing replaced under warranty. I CANCELLED MY MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION within (3) days of this endeavour and don't plan to purchase any more Arlo cameras and pay a monthly subscription. Arlo is phasing out several older camera and ALL of their new ones require a monthly subscription now. I'll keep using my old Arlo Pro 2 until they just completely quit. They still have the free 7 day rolling cloud storage for now. They are in the End of Life and are discontinued I believe. There are other wireless outdoor cameras that do not require a subscription and have 7-14 day rolling cloud storage and some camera have mirco sd card slots. (You still take that chance of no replaceble battery though). I'll switch over one day when I can afford another $500 + for all new cameras. I'll probably start buying them (1) or (2) at a time when I can catch them on sale.

I just put up the Essential Spotlight yesterday so I am still in the adjustment phase. So far, the daytime live and still images are incredibly clear. It’s like looking directly outside with no barriers. The nighttime images are not clear at all and it looks like snow is falling. Here in the West Coast today it was 80 degrees with no snow in sight. This might be a matter of adjusting but so far I cannot seem to clear up the live night images. The color goes in and out at night along with the snow. I have performed all the suggested changes with no results thus far. I do not want to contact support because on occasion with their help the issues get worse. I have contacted them online and by phone. Good and bad experiences with both. Overall, I do recommend the Arlo Essential Spotlight Cameras. I have two units with one installed so far. Just be patient with setup and subsequent issues and contact support if you need assistance. Tks!

battery wish it could be better, after 1 month needed charging

Its not recommended for small space due to narrow angle view only 130 degree.

I have purchased three of these cameras. Overall, I am pleased the quality of the cameras and the video they provide. The app is versatile and has lots of options. Easy to set it up so my partner can see the cameras as well. Installation is easy. The night vision is decent. I combined one of my cameras with an Arlo solar panel and it keeps it powered up constantly. Without a solar panel, the camera needs to be taken down and charged up probably about every two months. The motion detection is sensitive enough to pick up cats walking across my lawn or ripples going across my pool. The app can distinguish between people, animals, and vehicles. Anything that doesn't fit those categories registers as "motion." Of course, this is not a robust system that will provide you constant video monitoring. If your internet goes down or you lose your phone, it's no good to you. However, if you're looking for a WiFi enabled motion detection system at a reasonable price with lots of versatility, I 100% recommend this product.

Easy to charge and install. The pros end there. The image classification / identification that comes with Arlo is perhaps the most juvenile and naive I've ever seen commercially available. You're not only spammed with incorrect notifications, such as claiming a flower pot is a person, but it drains its battery on its naivety also. Try any other brand, this is absolute garbage.
