The Cadillac of reef lighting.
Light is awesome. App, not so much. Doesn’t connect then it does. Had to separate my WiFi networks to 2.4 and 5 because this only works on the 2.4. Apex is supposed to be coming out with a controller and I can’t wait.Edit 4/24/21 I was lucky enough to be selected for the beta testing of the apex integration. So far pretty cool. Changing my rating to 5 stars because I don’t need the app anymore.

software app doesn't work. horrible. WIFI doesn't work
the lamp is amazing. the hardware people did a great job. Except the mounting kit is SO LONG that mounting UNDER a hood.. leaves the lamp sitting on the glass and sbe 10 inches up. took hours to fix that.the problem is the HORRIBLE software. worst I've ever seen. useless. doesn't work. hard to figure out. Saw nothing but terrible reviews but only AFTER i bought it. I bought it based on reviews of the light. so the lamp is great.. the hanging kit is horrible and the software is even worse. I returned it and bought Radion. Night and dy difference. much more expensive. wish Kessil worked. stay away!!!!!

Best Light
Incredible light for corals and does reach out to 4ft but obvious your lower light corals will need to go there. Inside 36” and you will be amazed at the coral growth. I had radions on my tank and when I swapped, literally over night the corals responded. Insane extension and some corals like my candy looked like they were going to bust!!

The only lamp that smimmers like Metal Halides
I am running three of these lamps on my Red Sea 900 Reefer 3XL. I have 600 par 6" down the scent at 80% lamp intensity. PAR varies only about 10% across the aquarium. Down low on the sand in front averages 220 par across. The corners are at 160-190. Color is very even and the shimer is amazing. I too had to get a router that had a new version of software to manage devices that only work on 2.4G. (that was needed for other devices also). As an old AP700 user I think these lights are top of the line. They certainly are sleek but it's the color and shimmer that keeps me with Kessil.

Lots of dead spots
Does not get the side to side tank coverage as described. Claims to be able to cover 4 feet across it only coveted about 2 1/2. Not a very good light for corals.
