Excellent tool - simple to use and very accurate.
This device is very easy to use. Instructions are clear. I had a little problem drawing sufficient blood on my first lancet use, but I moved to a different finger and it was fine. Easy to feed the pipet the blood from your finger; it automatically goes up the tuber via capillary action. Loading the machine is likewise very straightforward. The reading was dead on accurate from my last test at the doctor about a month before. Highly recommend as an easy, quick, monitoring tool. The provided test strips will last for five tests -- if you do one per month, that five months. Pretty good...

Don’t Buy-Very complicated product that never produces a result
Ridiculous and complicated product. Went through 4 test strips and kept getting error code.Followed instructions-still not working.Would return - but used most of testing products since error came up as expired test stripsSAVE YOUR MONEY

You really need to read the instructions and watch the blood collection video
First, my Curio-L7 results vs Lipid panel done by a lab. Same day, after fasting, blood samples taken about 20 minutes apart from each other:Desc. Lab Result Curio-L7 ResultTC 192 181TG 269 264HDL 37 34LDL 117 94.2LDL/HDL N/A 2.77TC/HDL 5.2 5.32Non-HDL 155 147Many people seem to be using this incorrectly.1. Yes, it requires a lot of blood compared to say, a home glucose meter. It's not easy or pleasant to do, however if you watch the video on how to collect the blood (keep the collection tube horizontal, laying in on a raised surface), and you use the lancer provided (at first I was using the lancer to my glucose meter which seems to have a much thinner needle, therefore I was able to retrieve less blood before it started coagulating) then it's still a LOT less blood than they take at the lab by sticking a very large needle (compared to the lancing needle) in your vein, not to mention the cost, time, and inconvenience of going to a lab.2. Make sue that you only insert the chip when they say, make sure to open the door when the unit tells you, and only close it when it tells you, etc. Once you have done this CORRECTLY once or twice it's really no big deal at all. I DID waste a few test strips by not following all of these these directions at first. For me, the cost savings and convenience of this meter is well worth it. For me, the results are close enough. Only LDL was off more than I would hope, but the others were within a very tolerable range. My numbers are above, so decide for yourself. The one knock I will give it is that it does not come with a carrying/storage case, which another, much more expensive unit with fancy colored touch screen had. The results from that unit, which I have since returned, were WAY off, to much to be useful.

I'm Mixed On This Product
I'm honestly not even sure how accurate this product is. It's very easy to use, but although my TG levels are always normal when tested at the doctor's office, this device reports them as "lo" more than 50% of the time. This device also reports my LDL as "n/a" a lot too. A box of test strips isn't cheap and I usually have to use at least 2 when I want to take a reading because the first reading usually always gives me bad results. And I ensure no air is in the tube when collecting a blood simple. I prick myself, let the drop form, place in on the tube which I'll have resting horizontally and then squeeze my finger to get the sample very fast. For the amount of money this device and strips cost, I'd think I'd get better results most of the time instead of less than half the time.EDIT!! My last good test with this device was a week ago with these results:Total=199HDL=76LDL=112TG=53My recent bloodwork results 1 week later are as follows:Total=223HDL=78LDL=137TG=49So it appears that this device MAY be better as testing HDL and TG numbers, but not so good at testing Total and LDL numbers. After I got my bloodwork, I went home and went through 2 test strips trying to get good results, but the device kept getting Lo readings on LDL and TG. On one test, the total was 185 and on the next it was 193. Whatever the case, this device in my opinion is only helpful in letting you know if your Total and LDL numbers are going up or down.
