6 years of reliable heating
I have two other Gen3's and this one is for upstairs. The two keep my 100 yr old house warm all winter and I thought I'd try one upstairs so I don't use my upstairs furnace so much (which I keep on 55 degrees anyway). I keep the downstairs furnace on 66 degrees so it kicks in if the weather gets too cold and overcomes the Gen3's. It's usually around 70 degrees in here with these two chugging along all winter. (chugging just sounds so cute, I love 'em) I keep the second one in my kitchen because I have a sliding door to the back patio which faces west, so cold weather and wind comes from that direction. Have had EdenPUREs for the past 6 yrs and wouldn't change. Have tried another brand and it just didn't match the EP with output and reliability. I switched to EP from regular gas furnace after my first year here....heating bills went from over $350 a month to $200 a month. When you are on SS, $150 saved is awesome!

What can be said about the Eden Pure Heater? Its been used and gotten high reviews since it came out. It does the job of 3 space heaters and at around 40% of the cost in my house. I thought I was getting the high end model {Signature series} however it was the regular Gen3 1000 model I bought. I am still quite happy with the model I have. If you need an electric space heater I would go with this and at least a 1000. The signature series tells you a little more about whats going on and has better controls versus the standard model._My sore point with this purchase was the company I bought from and their method of shipping. I ordered this heater during the worst cold snap my area had felt in about 20 years. My gas furnace was out and no time table on fixing it and every merchant was sold out of the Eden Pure heaters in my area. So I turned to the internet for purchase. I chose Stoneledge of Cornwall because they were a bit cheaper than the other sellers here at Amazon. I also bought expedited shipping as I was in a hurry to receive it and I looked over Stoneledge's web page and I swear nowhere did it say USPS shipping. Never assume anything and I assumed it was UPS considering the 27lbs shipping weight. After not receiving the product in 5 days and 2 emails to Stoneledge I found their page to say products are shipped via Postal Service. One S in a name can make a big difference huh? I purchased on 01/07/2010 and payment cleared the bank on 01/08/2010,and Stoneledge says it was cleared for shipping 01/07/2010 and picked up on 01/08/2010 however; the postage on the box is electronic and appears to be done online from their site. The post office says they got it on the ninth. And the product arrived at my post office 12 days after purchase on 01/19/2010. Yes Stoneledge did deliver within their window however 12 days is a long time to wait for a product. If you want a letter delivered go postal, for a heavy item in a box; I would always choose UPS.

Came online just to give good review on a 6 year old GEN3
I too am posting a good review because of all of the bad ones. I bought my Eden Pure GEN 3 probably 6 years ago and have loved it. Never had any problems at all, although having moved a couple of times, I will note that in homes with older wiring, you have to be careful how many large appliances are running or risk a fuse blowing. Other than that, it just keeps on ticking. I don't use it as a sole heat source, but I HAVE had to for a day or two at a time when the furnace went out and it does a fine job in an open concept area. I plugged it in this morning as our furnace needs repair work so haven't been running it. The house was 64 degrees, and after 1/2 hour the living/dining/kitchen are at 68. I came online to compliment it. Perhaps I am simply lucky, but I have always realized that folks are far more likely to take the time for a bad review of any product or service than a good one.

I love my EdenPure
I live in a very old double wide mobile home. My furnace is ready to go out and is very expensive to run. I bought the EdenPure to use in case the old furnace quit working. The EdenPure keeps the house warm. We have hardly used the furnace at all since we got the EdenPure. I've had the EdenPure about a month. I just received my utility bill. It's very low. Usually my bill runs very high during the cold season. So I was very pleased with this low bill. I hope it stays low. We do live in a fairly warm area. No bitter cold temperatures in our central California region. So for us it works well. We plan on ordering another EdenPure. But quite frankly this one by itself is keeping this rickety old house warm. We do turn on the ceiling fan on low in the front of the house as well as in the back of the house to pull the warm air through the entire home. One concern for us is the electrical socket (receptacle). It does get hot so we will replace it with a new one.

Great air conditioner to bad it's supposed to be a HEATER!!!!
I bought the eden pure heater to warm up a small area of my house and it has not worked since day one. If you turn on the unit it will start heating, you see the heating element turn red and hot air starts to blow. However 10 minutes later the heating element just turns itself off and starts blowing cold air. You then have to unplug the unit and start it again. People you have to repeat this cycle everytime. So if you like heaters that work as advertised for 10 minutes at a time then this is for you. I said it before this heater is the best airconditioner I have ever owned. Now if I could only get rid of this hypothermia!
