how can i tell if i have a 55-556 or 55-557 model?

I am pretty sure the 556 and 557 are the Pro or Cadillac models. If you have a Home version model (like the 5 cord) this pull up bar should work. I have the 5-cord and this bar fits it. You can look at the Stamina Products website to see model numbers.

I have the 55-4298A, I don't see holes in it so I'm assuming this will not work is there a modification for this?

i have the stamina 700 premier reformer with standard cardio rebounder will the pull up bar work with my machine

Yes. And I think you will really like it. The pull up bar goes at the top of the machine near where the pulleys are connected (not where the rebounder goes). I always add a couple of variations of a classic pull up and it really makes me feel like I got a good work out in. For the money this is my favorite add on after some new, stronger resistance bands.

I have an older model 3 cord machine. I have read mixed reviews on if this will work with my machine? Does the black plastic cap with 2 holes in it come with the bar? The one on my machine does not have 2 holes in it. Therefore I have no way to attach it unless that piece is included? Thank you.

The pull up bar only works on the models that use the pullies. I had an older machine JP 4500 and it did not work on it.
