Le Creuset Round Dutch Oven

My son is an amazing cook, and he really wanted this. I must say that it looks really cool when he cooks with it. There's something about it that just shouts, "Hey, this food is going to be great." He also feel that it cooks better than some of the lower priced Dutch ovens. It seems like it will last him a lifetime. It is the highest quality - super durable and with great heat distribution. Plus, a general great feel and great looks (like I already mentioned).

Literally my default pot for any and everything. Never fails me.

Quality dutch oven--you get what you pay for. I've used this dutch oven heavily over the past month, and it'd held up nicely--both on the stove top and in the oven. That said, when I first received the dutch oven, I was shipped a product with a faulty lid (the ceramic coating was heavily chipped). Returned it for a replacement, and the replacement was perfect. As any good dutch oven, it does weigh a bit, but is not unwieldy. I got the 2qt size since I only need it for two, and it's the perfect size. Color and material seems high quality as well. Very pleased with this purchase, and have hopes for it to be heirloom I can pass to my kids.

Perfect utensil.

Wonderful pot for ham and beans!! Also have made stews in it and I love it. So easy to clean up.

We bought this Dutch oven for our 54 th anniversary and it is everything we wanted plus it’s beautiful just sitting on output stove. Everything me make in it comes out better than ever, even homemade spaghetti sauce!!! Thank you, it’s a gift that keeps on giving. Tom and Louise Lis. Pittsfield, Mass.

I inherited this exact LeCreuset pot (dutch oven) from my mother who had had it for most of her life. I love it. It has lasted years and I know it is durable enough to last the rest of my lifetime. My daughter and her husband are building a family and love to cook. So I bought her this one so one day she could pass it down. I cook everything in mine from chili to breakfast potatoes. The cast iron is enameled so well that there is no problem using stainless utensils with it. It will not scratch. Do some research, but check out the LeCruset brand for top-quality, lifelong cookware.

I have several Le Creuset products, and this, like all the others, is simply the best. (I do not understand the flaws described by others; I have ordered from Amazon and Le Creuset directly and every piece arrived in perfect condition.) There is simply no comparison - yes, it is expensive, but will last for years, allowing you to pass it on. I use Le Creuset for casseroles, batch cooking stews, etc., and they are beautiful, perfectly functional, and well worth the investment. Treat yourself!

I thought that someone had to be out of their minds to buy something like this, considering that there are a lot of cheaper options out there. But seeing how durable it is, and how beautiful it looks, it honestly saved me the hassle of transferring the food from a cooking pot to a better looking serving pot. I don’t recommend anyone who’s just starting to cook to buy this, but it’s definitely something anyone who cooks regularly should have.
