ALEKO G2950 Submersible Fountain Stream Pond Waterfall Aquarium Statuary Multi Function Pump

UPDATE. My fountain has been idle of over a year. Took down the upper levels during hurricane season 2017 but left the pump in place in the basin. It's frozen, been completely dry, submerged in algae/leaves/mosquitos, etc. I fully expected to order a new one here today, but guess what? I plugged it in & It started right up! Very impressed!Impressed with this little pump. Time will tell it's durability, but so far it works perfectly for my medium sized outdoor fountain. Plenty of power/lift at the second-lowest setting w/ 1/2 ID tubing being a nice snug fit. I've had several pumps burn out after a few months & haven't found the auto shut-off models to be any better for the extra $$. At under $10 I decided this pump is worth a try/comparison to the $25-30's I've bought. My only complaint so far is that the flow adjustment switch sticks a bit, but still works.

There was no paperwork - like directions. The intake is not as pictured, it is just 1/4in slats on the pump which is big enough to suck in baby fish.Minimum flow rate is still quite high. The flow adjustment is counter intuitive - it gets lower as you turn it clockwise.It does not have a ground plug so if there is an issue it could give quite a shock.

The pump I recurved works well enough, but it is not the pump in the picture. I needed one with an intake port that a sponge filter could be attached to as the pictured showed this pump had. The pump I received had a grated intake that nothing can be attached to. I would have sent it back but I needed something to at least agitate the aquarium water surface or risk my tank dying from lack of oxygen while I waited for another to be sent.

I needed to replace a pump that died. This one was so cheap, I had doubts that it would be good quality, but I couldn't pass up the price. But it turns out to be excellent quality, and about half the price of the others.

I used this for a rather large water cooling rig I set up (Cpu, Gpu, Northbridge all plumbed in series).. the other pumps on here had been very very weak, i tried most of them and even put them all within the same loop. ~ I bought this sucker and its by FAR the best I've ever seen. Its got a fantastic flow rate and it just keeps going; I suspect it can even pump mineral oil.. While it is a submersible; you may need to get an adapter for the top to fit your tubing.. but take it from me, I haven't seen water flow out of the tubes like this ever.

The media could not be loaded.  Works as designed. Here is a video. The fountain is an old one. I had to clean out the tubes that were all encrusted, and then used this pump to connect to the bottom of it.Pretty quiet. Plenty strong. Where it connects underneath it does so at a right angle, which could affect the power. Yet, it still has a plenty strong motor.

Great for the money!

I have this attached to a hose for a water garden and it is perfect, especially since the flow can be adjusted. I also ordered the Aqua-clear A-575 filter and it works perfectly for it!
