All the reviews for this tile leveling system seem to be about cooling trays for a party... is this posting messed up- what are they actually selling?

Because these fly by night companies hijack older discontinued product listings to use their review count to make their product look good. They do a quick hit and run and then laugh all the way to the bank after selling an inferior product.

what is the actual size where the wedge fits in? How far will the wedge fit in with exactly 1/2 thick tile?

To answer your question.... the clip opening (this is where the wedge would fit) is slightly bigger than 3/4. If you use 1/2 in tile, you will have about 1/4 within the clip opening. The length of the wedge I used was 3.25 inches. My best prediction is that wedge is at approx 1/4 in high at a distance of about 1inch from the point of the wedge.
