Great for Wellness & Nerve Support
As someone who is deeply invested in maintaining a healthy lifestyle and always on the lookout for high-quality supplements, I've used several other products from Dr. Danielle and have not been disappointed. Alpha-Lipoic Acid (R-ALA) is another standout product from this company. Unlike many generic ALA supplements on the market, this one contains Alpha R Lipoic Acid (R-ALA) — the naturally occurring and more bioavailable form of lipoic acid. This means your body can absorb and utilize it more effectively, giving you better results in less time. I've personally noticed improvements in my nerve health and energy levels, and I feel a more stable sense of well-being throughout the day. I also like the company's commitment to clean, conscious ingredients. It's Non-GMO, gluten-free, vegan, and soy-free, which is perfect for someone like me with dietary sensitivities or those who prefer to avoid unnecessary additives. As someone who follows a plant-based diet, I really appreciate the veggie capsules—they’re easy to take and gentle on my stomach. I've also seen a noticeable improvement in my blood sugar stability, especially during long workdays or after meals. While I take several supplements, I believe Dr. Danielle’s Alpha-Lipoic Acid is playing a key role in maintaining my metabolic balance and overall vitality. Bottom line: If you're serious about your health and looking for a supplement that supports neuropathy, blood sugar regulation, and antioxidant protection, this is a must-try. Dr. Danielle’s reputation for clean, scientifically-backed wellness products shines through in this formula. I’ll definitely be keeping this one in my daily regimen. Highly recommend!

This product is a necessity for your gut health. If you are looking for a supplement that is gluten-free, non-GMO, soy-free and also vegan, then this is perfect for you. Because of the gel capsules, they are easy to swallow and digest. Definitely recommend this product!

Good product. Works well. Has the right ingredients. Cost effective.
If you read the information I posted below, you will understand why only R-ALA makes sense to take and on an empty stomach. I like this product because it is R-ALA, and the price is reasonable for the dosage of 300mg and the number of capsules. I also like Doctors Best Stabilized R-Lipoic acid, which claims to Feature BioEnhanced™ Na-RALA, a more bioavailable form. Not sure I notice a difference, but it is more expensive, with lower dose and fewer capsules which is why I switched to this one. My favorite ALA product is not sold to the public but through practitioners (doctors, naturopaths, accupuncturists, chropractors) Researched Nutritionals C-RLA Liposomal Vitamin C and R-Lipoic Acid and is very expensive $100 for ten fluid ounces. The dosage is much lower -- two teaspoons with 70 mg's RLA but I feel it immediately. This is the product Dr. Horowitz, the famous Lyme disease physician gives to his patients to stimulate glutathione synthesis and help clear toxins from the infection. If you are new to alpha lipoic acid I suggest you read the material on from the Linus Pauling Institute: http://lpi.oregonstate.edu/infocenter/othernuts/la/ Summary: Only the R- isomer is endogenously synthesized and bound to protein: R-LA occurs natural in foods. LA supplements may contain either R-LA or a 50/50 (racemic) mixture of R-LA and S-LA. Dietary and Supplemental Alpha-Lipoic Acid Exogenous LA from the diet can be activated with ATP or GTP by lipoate-activating enzyme, and transferred to LA-dependent enzymes by lipoyltransferase (10, 11). Consumption of LA from food has not yet been found to result in detectable increases of free LA in human plasma or cells (3, 12). In contrast, high oral doses of free LA (≥ 50 mg) result in significant but transient increases in free LA in plasma and cells. Pharmacokinetic studies in humans have found that about 30%-40% of an oral dose of LA (a 50/50 mixture of R-LA and S-LA) is absorbed (12, 13). Oral LA supplements are better absorbed on an empty stomach than with food: taking LA with food decreased peak plasma LA concentrations by about 30% and total plasma LA concentrations by about 20% compared to fasting (14). Additionally, the sodium salt of R-LA may be better absorbed than free LA, presumably because of its higher aqueous solubility (15). There may also be differences in bioavailability of the two isomers of LA. After oral dosing with LA, peak plasma concentrations of R-LA were found to be 40%-50% higher than S-LA, suggesting that R-LA is better absorbed than S-LA (12, 14, 16). Following oral administration, both isomers are rapidly metabolized and excreted. Plasma LA concentrations generally peak in one hour or less and decline rapidly (12, 13, 16, 17). In cells, LA is quickly reduced to DHLA, and studies in vitro studies indicate that DHLA is rapidly exported from cells (3). Although LA is a potent antioxidant in the test tube, LA supplementation may affect health by stimulating glutathione synthesis, enhancing insulin signaling, and modulating the activity of other cell-signaling molecules and transcription factors. (More information) Overall, the available research indicates that treatment with 600 mg/day of intravenous LA for three weeks significantly reduces the symptoms of diabetic peripheral neuropathy. (More information) Compared with intravenous administration, the effect of long-term, oral LA supplementation for diabetic peripheral neuropathy is less clear, yet some studies show that oral supplementation with at least 600 mg/day of LA may be beneficial. (More information) If you choose to take LA supplements, the Linus Pauling Institute recommends a daily dose of 200-400 mg/day of LA for generally healthy people.

Wonderful Supplement!
First heard about RALA on Dr. Richard Becker's TV program when he listed all the wonderful benefits of taking this supplement. I did quite a lot of research before settling on Dr. Danielle's RALA--primarily because it contains a higher dose of R-Alpha Lipoic Acid (300 mg) and at a good price. The "R" is important! It also had really good reviews. I ordered this supplement the first time because my Creatin level in my bloodwork was higher than normal so I figured this would help with my kidney function. I'm not certain if the RALA helped or not, but my Creatine level was normal with my next CBC. It's the only thing I recall doing different. I just ordered it again, because even though I am not diabetic (as of my last blood test), I am now trying to avoid sugar to a great degree to avoid becoming one and decided this would be a good supplement for insulin sensitivity and also to keep my kidneys healthy. It just has so many wonderful benefits! If I had an awesome testimony, I would have given it a 5 star!

Real Neuropathy Relief – This R-ALA works better for me
I'm really impressed with Dr. Danielle's Alpha-Lipoic Acid. Here's why: Better Absorption. It's R-ALA, not regular ALA – the natural form your body actually absorbs. I've noticed real improvements in energy and nerve health since starting it. Proven Neuropathy Relief. This works pretty well for diabetic neuropathy, and I feel a relief without prescription drug side effects. Clean Formula. Vegan, gluten-free, non-GMO, soy-free. Easy to swallow veggie capsules with no aftertaste or stomach issues. Last but not least, Good Value. 300mg per capsule, 120 caps – reasonable price for quality R-ALA.

I loved this!
So glad I got this, I feel more clearheaded and energetic. I definitely noticed a difference and have recommended it to friends who say the same. The capsules are easy to take and don't leave any unpleasant taste or anything like some other's I've tried. If you're on the fence, definitely give this a shot!

Best stuff ever. It works.
Day 6 on RALA Lipoic Acid. So far this has been amazing. The nerves in my feet are not screaming as loud anymore, they have calmed down tremendously. I can feel the synovial fluid in my feet building up and the inflammation in them in greatly decreased. I can actually rotate my feet now and I can flex my feet when walking. It is still painful to put my feet down but that is decreasing as well. My feet feel like they are waking up from a very long sleep. The tightness in my feet and spine is diminishing. I am having to adjust my movements in and around my environment because my movements have been so stiff for so long and now I have flex and freedom. It’s almost feels like I am jello at times but in a good way. My ears have not been producing as much wax, headaches have decreased, swelling in my throat has decreased, memory issues have decreased, disjointed thought patterns have decreased, heart rate is better, and more (all caused by Hashimoto’s disease). Digestive issues are much better. Sleep issue, anxiety, and general mood is much better as well. In a few weeks I will have labs done and I will know more but so far so good. Oh, and my hair and skin look healthier.

Good stuff. Bottle arrived timely
Here's my 45-day impressions: Good stuff. Bottle arrived timely, and I poured out all the capsules for a capsule count and inspection. Count was true, and all capsules were intact with none leaking or discolored. After taking these for about a month and a half, I'm left with a positive impression. I feel that they do contain the 300 mg of R-ALA as listed on the label. I am a Type II diabetic, and feel that this R-ALA does help to "smooth out" my blood sugar levels. My body's response to taking Metformin/Glipizide is very quick. I should mention that I also take other supplements along with Dr. Dannielle's R-ALA: 300mg COQ10 (Ubiquinol, NOT Ubiquinone, NOT COQ10 enzyme), 1000mg Acetyl-L-Carnitine, 50 billion Probiotics, 6000 IU of Vitamin D3, and a C3 Complex (Turmeric Curcumin). Is Dr. Danielle's R-ALA solely responsible for my body's improved insulin response, or is it a combination with my other supplements ? I'd have to say "NO", but my subjective opinion is that it is a very important part of what has occurred. Without going into too much detail, I do have a diabetic foot wound that has been slow to heal. It is my opinion that it has not become worse and has shown renewed progress in FINALLY healing due to the supplements I take, with an important role being the R-ALA. I would suggest that Dr. Danielle submit this R-ALA to ConsumerLabs.com for them to test. I personally feeling that the product does contain what is listed on the label. It is nice, though, for folks to be able to read laboratory results for a products ingredients. I've given this R-ALA 5 stars after a month and a half of use. If, after further use, I see negative or different results, I'll amend this review. UPDATE: Still very pleased and encouraged by results. My slow healing foot wound has now healed. Is it solely due to Dr. Danielle's R-ALA ? I'd say, again, NO but it certainly played an important part.
