Farrah Fawcett stars as Marjorie, the victim of a robbery and near rape by an attacker (Joe played by James Russo, Beverly Hills Cop) who she has successfully fought off. But her feeling of safety is short-lived when she realizes that Joe has her address from the stolen items. An emboldened Marjorie puts a plan into action; she'll turn the tables on her attacker, making the aggressor the victim. After entering her home, Joe finds himself overpowered, outmaneuvered and held captive by the newly empowered Marjorie. Now the real battle begins. Extremities is a tense, edge of your seat drama based on the smash off-Broadway play that garnered Farrah Fawcett a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress in a dramatic role.

Five Stars
Farrah does an amazing job in this film as a victimized woman who has turned the tables on her attacker, a would be rapist! The story then turns into a moral issue, does she call police and face the possibility of him coming back to get her at some point, or does she end all the horror by burying him in the back yard, under the petunia bed, and no one will ever know? It's incredible that so many originally thought she was just fluff; pretty face, blonde hair & white teeth with no substance at all. Boy, did she prove them wrong! The movie is harrowing and very hard hitting for the 1980's, but she plays the lead flawlessly, and is also surrounded by great supporting players, ie. Alfre Woodard, in one of her first roles! Farrah, she was not only gorgeous, but had the acting chops to match!

One reviewer said this was a goof: It’s 535 p.m. - I want you back at 5. Read on...
She actually said “5 of” meaning 555 p.m. Yes, the film feels staged because they don’t expand the magnitude beyond one house (except for the first part). But Farrah gave a super performance and got all the giggling bubblehead out of her personality. It’s a sin she didn’t win the Golden Globe for this award but I believe she won some award for Best Foreign Actress (another country gave the award). By the way, atropine is an needle to inject, not a pill. When she was locked in the bathroom and he couldn’t get in, he said “Open the door or I’ll kill you.” I wouldn’t have opened the door. Just because a statement is true doesn’t mean the converse statement is false. He would’ve tried to kill her whether she opened the door or not. Unless he had a gun because she might not be able to stay out of the path of the bullets. But he didn’t have one.She did the right thing not burying him. Eventually the smell would attract the attention of the neighbors, and they’d call the police and exhume his body and the police would say, “Explain this, please.” At graveyards, the body is put in a coffin (which muffles the smell) and it’s buried many feet below the surface. They might inject chemicals into the body to muffle the smell, but I’m not sure about that.Extremities is among my favorite films.I have “roach” contact lenses and I wore it to the play version. Get it - you might spray bug spray on a roach, which was in my eyes. But the blue and green colors look the best. When Terry was late coming back, did you think she went to the police?

Great movie!
I love Farrah Fawcett and her acting was awesome. It was sad to watch again after all these years, knowing she died. She is surely missed. The movie itself was great! It is terrible that these sorts of things happen. Worth watching! At the beginning, it should alert women to how easy it is for a predator to be watching and how quickly an innocent situation can turn vicious or deadly even. Farrah, you were/are beautiful!

Suspensful and well-acted
This is a favorite film of mine and it showcases Farrah Fawcett's dramatic talents. Based on the play, the story involves a rapist-murderer who stalks Marjorie (Fawcett) and her two roommates in their secluded house outside the city where Joe, the attacker, fumbled his first attempt. There are scenes of calm, as Marjorie goes about her day, feeding fish, gardening, reading in the sun. Her day turns into one of terror when Joe enters and physically and psychologically tortures her for hours until the roommates return.By then, Marjorie has overpowered Joe,locked him in a makeshift cage and contemplates killing him. She repeats some of the torture he inflicted on her, and then must make a decision about his fate. This is a suspenseful and well-acted classic.

Trivia
This is a good movie, may she rest in peace. When Farrah ( around 1:08:10) ask what time it is, her roomie says 5:35 and Farrah says I want you back here at 5. In the Trivia section ( goofs) they did not mention this. I replayed it a few times and that is what it sounded like to me :)
