I needed a magnifying lamp and this one is going to work out great.The current draw is very low and my USB hub has no problem powering the lamp. The flexible shaft is about 18" long and is nice and strong to hold the lamp/magnifying lens right where you position it.The on/off switch with adjustable brightness is mounted on the lamp head and that is the best spot for it. :-)The lens is glass and the magnification seems just right for my work.As others have said, the lens cover hinge is a little lose so the cover doesn't always stay open.This magnifying lamp is so nice, I am going to be ordering another one.

5 star product for sure. I use it for my coloring book art/hobby. Adjustable light brightness is perfect. I have had no eye fatigue. The amount of magnifying works well as I can adjust (by moving the neck) the proximity of the lens to my book. The neck is strong yet extremely adjustable & stays put where I place it. The plastic lens cover was annoying b/c it kept shutting when moving lamp around so I easily removed it. The screw clamp attaches to lap table securely, no slipping. It has been a sturdy lamp that's solid but not heavy. I have used this product nearly everyday for 2 months & consider it a 5 star product.

I bought this lighted magnifier to replace an old articulated-arm magnifier with a round flouresent bulb; but after trying it for a few days I had to go back to the old magnifier.Like: The flexible arm holds its position very well. The mounting clamp adjusts to a wide variety of benches.Dislike: The magnifier lens is too small to use both eyes comfortably, and I get eyestrain each time after using it about 15 to 20 minutes. The variable intensity light is really only useable at full brightness.

When I first turned it on, I thought it was broken because there was no light. Then I realized that the knob rotated more. Once I started turning it, it started brightening up more and more. It gets pretty bright. Looking through the lens to work on something, it was amazing to see the project without holding a handheld magnifier.

It runs either by USB or outlet.The screw clamp gives it a bit more versatility for positioning.The adjustable brightness of the light is quite useful.The magnification is excellent for doing more precise work.The only negative is that the lens cover needs help staying open in certain positions but that's remedied easily enough with a little tape.

The bracket that clamps and attaches to the magnifier lamp has a machine bit connector, but the insert is slightly smaller than the female threads on clamp so it sits freely where it should screw and thread in. Leads to wobbly posture of lamp, and less sturdy base.

I absolutely love this light .it came in handy when it came to weeding vinyls from my cricut machine . It's light weight and also durable if that makes sense .
