Is the temperature swing adjustable?

You can adjust it from .5 to 3 degrees, this is the very reason I bought it. I have mine set for a 1 degree swing. All honeywell thermostats do not have a adjustable swing and are set for .5 degrees which mean your furnace is constantly starting and stopping.

Is the lowest number on the swing feature make the heater run more?

Your question and the answers are misleading. The smaller the swing (the difference between turn on and turn off temperatures) the more OFTEN it will run, but for shorter times. At the end of the day the runtime and cost should be the same. If your A/C unit is rated too big for your house because you added better insulation or double pane windows, the shade tree grew up, or the salesman sold you a bigger one than needed, it will blast cold and turn off without properly bring down the humidity. If this is the case a shorter swing would be helpful. I have mine on +/- 1 degree. If you are on a freeze-sweat cycle bring it down. If it still has a big swing something's wrong, replace it. I had half a dozen hard to program thermostats that each lasted 13 months on one year warranties until I bought a Lux Pro. After 15 years of flawless performance it is the only thing I regret leaving in my old house. I intend to get one to replace the builder grade Honeywell junk here at the new house.

is this unit compatible with millivolt systems

Yes, this thermostat can be used w most single stage 24v gas, oil, or elec heating and/or cooling systems, single stage heat pump or GAS MILLIVOLT systems.  It cannot be used with 3 wire zone valves, 120 volt heating systems, or multi-stage heat pumps.  Go to the luxpro website and download the free spec sheet instruction manual for this thermostat and see for yourself,  I replaced my cheap analog thermostat in my RV with this thermostat and it works fabulous.  I would not hesitate putting it in a home system if you are looking for an inexpensive programmable thermostat.
