Victrola Quincy - 6-in-1 Bluetooth Record Player - Grey

Update 3/20/21: It's been a few months and no problems. Works just like the day I got it.--Update: Nice! I got some really quick answers, including from the seller, about the one thing that I was unsure about. Short version-- the turntable itself will be a little loose when all set up; this is normal/ideal. I'm really pleased with this unit and the fast response I got. Thanks much!I got this along with the three-year warranty, since reviews are indicating this product is fragile/prone to some issues. I only had one issue, which I'll detail toward the end of this review. I've asked a question relevant to that point, and will update my review to reflect what I hear back.So first of all, the unit I received appeared intact/undamaged from what I can tell and looking at the packaging. The whole thing is wrapped in plastic and ships in a box that says what it is on the outside. It comes with RCA cables. The instruction manual says it ALSO includes a 3mm aux out cable, but I didn't see that inside-- just the RCA cables. I don't see anything else that confirms that the cable should be in there, so, I'm guessing it's just a mistake with the manual print rather than a missing item.It probably doesn't need saying, but just in case, the lid does not open fully, but if you push the joint forward (toward you), it will lock open in place. You can close the lid without problems. It is open in the back to allow more space for records, so keep that in mind.I checked the FM, phono (vinyl), CD, and bluetooth functions. All of these worked perfectly. Note that the turntable will not spin until and unless you move the needle arm over to the record. Also don't throw out the needle protector! The instructions mention to keep these, but if I hadn't read it and hadn't been thinking, I would've tossed it.The CD has some limited programmability-- basically you can choose what order to play tracks in, on a disc. Nothing else really to mention on that function.The bluetooth worked perfect. I've had some devices be annoying and finicky whether they want to be recognized, and this wasn't one of them.Sound quality is all right-- if you're looking for something super loud with heavy bass, you'll want to plug in other speakers. I can't stand the "blow the dust off the speakers!" appeal, so this is fine for me. It does sound better when the unit is at least 8-10 feet away, sounds more balanced. For its size and for being an all-in-one, this is both acceptable and perfectly decent, no complaints. I'm used to listening from a pair of computer speakers when I don't have headphones on, so this is fine.My one issue-- (Reminder: Got an answer and this is fine apparently!)The turntable comes with a screw which is unscrewed to help keep the unit safe during transportation. The instructions say to TIGHTEN this screw before playing. I've seen some reviewers who I am guessing are confused, since they've loosened it instead. I was able to tighten this screw pretty easily, but the issue I have is that the turntable itself is not REALLY secure from doing this. You can still move it maybe 8mm/a third of an inch or so, just... around. This includes the turntable AND the arm, which I would expect to be, you know, screwed and fixed in place, immobile. It is not either of these things-- and it moves if I need to adjust the speed or anything like that. Now, when the record's playing, it seems totally fine, and it does play the records fine, but I was taken aback by this. I'm waiting on an answer to find out how problematic this is. For now, it seems to be working fine, but it definitely gives me pause, so to speak.So, that aside, I haven't had any OTHER problems, and I'm happy with it. If it turns out that's just normal, I can't say it seems like a sensible part of the design to me, but as long as it works, that's fine. Overall this is a very attractive, pleasant-sounding, versatile player. We'll see if it lasts-- I'll update this review periodically to reflect any problems that arise, or lack thereof.

Absolutely beautiful Vinyl player with a rustic Farmhouse Vintage look. This Victrola, "The Quincy " was a Christmas gift for my daughter and it arrived just before Christmas. She had been asking me for a record player for a while to play her Billie Eillish vinyls on and after much research, I decided on this Victrola. It plays three speeds, 33 1/3, 45, and 78 records as well as CD's, and those archaic casettes , and has an FM/AM radio built-in. Additionally, it has a built-in jack for headphones. The speaker sound is pretty decent for the value. My daughter was playing her records on it Christmas day and even with her bedroom door closed, we all could hear it in the LR and it sounded clear and loud, without any bass vibrations. I love the aesthetic this record player gives off. Its so classic looking, I love the Vintage Rustic Farmhouse light wood color, and it fit perfectly on her small TV/book stand. The lid doesn't go up all the way, but I like the look of it 3/4 of the way open. It was easy enough to set up that my 12 year old daughter did it all by herself without asking me for any help. She is a smart girl though, so that didn't surprise me. 😊. This is her first record player, and she loves the fact that its portable with Bluetooth capabilities. She had the Bluetooth connected to her iPhone with in minute's, streaming her favorite music from her phone to the Victrola. It functions much better than the old style record players available back in my day, which was a looooong time ago. Lol. I wish we had these when I was a kid. Its so very cool, and nostalgic. The "playability" is awesome because it plays 3 sizes of vinyls, CD's, FM/AM radio, and casettes. Wow!! When the lid is closed, it looks like a beautiful piece of furniture. I was pleased with the affordability of this Victrola. Most of the reviews I read on it were very good. The needle is the only thing I worry about, but only because my 12 year old has never used one before, so I've had to teach her how to properly care for it. She was so funny, she asked me, "Mom, how do you get it to FF or play a specific track on the vinyl"? Boy do I feel old. Probably because I am. I was born in the late 60's, when all we had was our parents record players that were simple, plain, not portable, and no built-in speakers. Once I showed her how to carefully lift the needle arm and place it on the desired track by looking for the lines in the vinyl, she had it down packed in no time and was fascinated by the entire workings of it. I emphasized to her the importance of needle care, but because she is 12, and im not currently aware of , if any, manufacturers warranty, I purchased a separate warranty from Assurion through Amazon, which Ive reviewed in a separate review. But definitely get the warranty because its well worth it. Victrola has a great reputation and I'm overall extremely pleased with this purchase. Its my daughter's favorite Christmas gift, which makes mom happy. I colored, and not very well, the background im some of the photos because she has lots of posters on her wall of artist's, which im sure we wouldn't be allowed to show, so thats the reason for my messy coloring.

the quality of music is always clear and it looks so pretty in my room. a great investment, i highly recommend it!!

This record player is wonderful! It is compact, light, portable and has good sound. I brought it outside during a barbeque this weekend and it was a smash hit. Everyone was taking turns playing 45's from my childhood collection. I haven't tried the CD or cassette tape options yet but cannot wait for the next get together with friends. The vintage style is a definite plus. It brings me back to childhood memories at my grandparents houses. I highly recommend the Victrola Quincy 6 in 1 Bluetooth record player.

UPDATE: We received the replacement and it works great. I was very pleased when it showed up quickly.My son will enjoy listening to old records, as well as being able to pair the player with his phone to listen to whatever he likes.Had we not had to deal with the whole exchange it would warrant a 5 star review.The most important part of this purchase did not work. We bought it to play records, it did not. Thus making it the biggest piece of junk CD player.We are attempting a return and replacement. If the replacement works, I might change my review.We shall see.

This is such a great, all-in-one music system. My Crosley Cruiser turntable broke, and I decided to upgrade to this based off reviews. I am very impressed with the sound that comes out of this Victrola, wow. My old Crosley Cruiser is no competitor to this, I’m so glad I upgraded to this Victrola, the sound is big and full, I can actually hear the different instruments in my Jazz albums instead of the previous low fi mush. I listen to a lot of instrumental music such as jazz, classical, as well as oldies and this adds the needed “warmth” to the sound for these albums. They just sound so good coming from this Victrola.The cosmetics are stunning, looks like a vintage record player and gives you the “vibe” when you use it, which to me is half the fun right? Old jazz vinyl just sounds best coming out of a retro wooden stereo with fabric grill cloth speakers and vintage radio knobs.The fact that it also offers CD’s, cassette tapes, Bluetooth, aux input, headphone output, FM radio, and ability to hook up to external speakers, all for this price is just such an insane value.The volume is plenty for me, and at least double what my old Crosley cruiser put out. I’m in an apartment and it fills the room at 1/4 of the volume knob turned. Halfway it can be heard well across the apartment. Sound is warm, rich and full, and honestly you really wouldn’t need external speakers with this unless you need to shake the walls. Respectively, this can be turned down low enough to whisper volume and still hear it well, which is good in an apartment at night or if others are in the place (or connect headphones).Overall a 10/10 and would definitely buy again, I’m amazed at the value and sound. Pair with a matching wooden stand to hold your records and you’re set for a long time.

I'll get right to it.BAD:1) Cassette controls are non existent, just eject, play & FF using one button. That's fine. It'll play a cassette if once in every five years I want to dig one out. They didn't have to include this feature but they did anyway. 2) Blutooth range seems a bit short but serves it's purpose if you don't want a cord attached to your phone or computer. You get about ten good feet of range before mild issues appear. 3) CD tray feels a bit clunky. It's plastic. BE GENTLE with it! 4) FM radio takes a while to tune to a station. You have to turn the knob very slowly to get a good signal & find what you want. We're spoiled with auto-search & programmable channels now in our other devices so that's why this feels so tedious. 5) Speakers are not hi-fi (more about this in "good" below). NONE of these vintage looking multi-players sound like a hi-fi system. BUT...GOOD:1) Speakers are much louder than I thought they'd be! I've heard other vintage multi-players like this one & they just weren't loud. It's also clearer than I expected after hearing those other units. This is on par with what you would have had in a small boombox or casual turntable system back in the 80's. You'll hear the bass. Everything will be clear. It's just not hi-fi. If you want a more hi-fi sound use the audio out ports on the back to go to your favorite speakers or sound system. I however found that I enjoy this enough as it is & have left my extra speakers out of it altogether. The sound carries through my house & I'm happy enough with the sound (as picky as I can be). 2) It looks AMAZING! I love having this on a stand in my entertainment system set up. 3) It plays everything perfectly. 4) the vinyl player function works great. I didn't find the lack of weight control & auto-return to be enough of an issue to put it in the "bad" category. Play well-kept records, maybe upgrade the needle to a good brand diamond tip, it's great! Sounds as good or better as the player I owned growing up. 5) Blutooth! I'm really glad I opted for the Blutooth model. My wife used Blutooth & I was never that big into it. Now I am! Along with whatever streaming service you use (I use Amazon Music) the possibilities are endless with what you can listen to on this.SUMMERY:There are other models that have even more features but I found this had all the necessary ones. I highly recommend making sure you get Blutooth! I wasn't expecting anything super great with this after seeing other models by other companies and was surprised. I picked the one out of all of them that actually sounds decent & seems to work without any glitches! We'll see how long it lasts. I'm staying optimistic. Just be gentle with it & take care of it. Seems like it should last at least a few years of regular use. It's so affordable I'm okay with changing it out in a few years if I have to.

I originally ordered this record player new, but although the order was marked as delivered, it never showed up at my door. By the time I went to order another one, the price had increased by about 20%, so I decided to purchase a Used – Like New unit instead.Cosmetically, the used unit looked like new, and Bluetooth, FM, and the other functions all worked perfectly. Unfortunately, the actual record player was almost inaudible even with the volume turned all the way up.After some troubleshooting, I determined that the problem was isolated to the phono cartridge. When I removed the stylus to inspect it, I discovered that the ceramic elements inside the cartridge were broken.Rather than return the whole unit, I ordered an inexpensive replacement cartridge kit from Amazon:JoTownCand 5PCS Record Player Needle and Turntable Cartridge Kit — ASIN B0FM8CYNJDThe kit cost me around $8 and included the replacement cartridge plus several replacement styli. I swapped the complete cartridge, and the record player immediately worked perfectly with normal volume.Now that it’s repaired, I’m very happy with the unit. It works well and sounds good for an all-in-one system. My issue is that something sold as “Used – Like New” apparently wasn’t properly function-tested before being resold. Simply putting a record on the turntable would have revealed the problem immediately.I don’t necessarily blame Victrola for the broken cartridge because I purchased a used/returned unit and have no way of knowing when or how it was damaged. However, I do think an item being sold as Used – Like New should have its primary functions tested.For anyone else who has this problem: if your VTA-200B has normal volume on Bluetooth/FM but the record player is extremely quiet even at maximum volume, check the cartridge. In my case, replacing it with the B0FM8CYNJD cartridge completely solved the problem.Overall, it’s a good record player now that everything works. I’m glad an $8 part fixed mine instead of having to return another unit.

This is a great little unit with all the musical functions you will need.After trying (and returning) two other brands, I decided to try this one for my wife's birthday.The retro look suits my wife's tastes.We don't need loud thumping bass in our music, the sound from the built in speakers is great.I tried all functions and they all work perfectly as described.A successful birthday present.
