I have now built 4 different workbenches using these on the corner posts. They make an exceptionally strong bench!

Build A BENCH IN ONE HOUR
This product is wonderful. It's the second time I have used them. I built a super strong solid workbench in less than an hour!!! Cut four 4"x4"s to length, place the Simpson Strong Tie brackets over the 4x4s, screw them in with your drill, add the 2x4s and bingo D O N E !!! Durable workbench brackets
These brackets make the most durable wooden workbench you can make. If its worth doing, its worth doing right. These are the brackets you want. Also, get the matching screws - they look great together.

Solid Product
Good product that really helped me build a sturdy workbench. I've only completed the frame thus far and the top and bottom shelf installation are next. I ended up using some sheet metal screws with hex heads. I needed nearly 200 of them. I'm planning on using their 2x4 sized product for a shelving unit in the garage. Highly recommended.

Makes Me a Better Carpenter Than I Probably Deserve to Be
I am a big fan of the entire Simpson Strong-Tie family of products. They make joint work exceptionally strong, simple, and nearly idiot-proof. I bought a box of eight of these RTC42 brackets . I used one to make a platform bed for my son (for the far corner from two sides lag-screwed into the wall studs). I used the remainder to make a work bench in my shop. Both are rock-solid, and neither took me more than half a day to assemble. I've used other Simpson brackets on outdoor projects and they are durable and corrosion resistant.

Awesome Bracket for Workbench!
These brackets work great. Once you cut the wood it's kinda like putting a lego set together . Makes the job go quickly and looks great !! Please shop around for them..this price is crazy. In the U.S. every Home Depot has these in stock and they cost about 6 dollars U.S. each.
