Q: Are the no-access caps really necessary? The cable itself covers up the screw heads in the VESA mount holes. I did not use the no-access covers.

They're necessary if you can access the screw head with a screwdriver. I ran the lock through one of the cable ends, so a cap wouldn't fit if i wanted it to.

Yes, see the image #3. Before you tight the screws you install the "cubes" in place to later run the security cable.

It’s designed to fasten to your TV in holes where you would connect a bracket, so I don’t think it would work if you were using a mounting bracket. But if your TV is fastened to a wall with a mounting bracket, why would you need an anti-theft cable?
