Boasting a huge capacity, the Ridgemont Backpack's XXL size and 2 main compartments give consumers the most space for their buck. The Ridgemont features a padded laptop sleeve for up to a 15.4'' screen, a tricot-lined tablet sleeve, a tricot-lined Media Safe pocket, side water bottle pockets and a front zippered pocket with deluxe organization. The Load Spring shoulder strap system and air mesh back panel will help ease the load. 3-D embroidered brandmark.

Highly recommended
My high school student has loads of binders to carry every day. We had another brand backpack before and the binders barely fit it.In this backpack he carries daily 4-6 binders, rectangular (about 4 inches thick) lunchbox, and PE shorts and shirt. Plus some other extra stuff as well. The backpack is roomy, with enough compartments. It does not feel as heavy on shoulders as it actually is, because of the strap design.Though I rated it 5 stars, here are the problems that we encountered:1. We bought white/gray/blue backpack. Each compartment is highlighted with its color. Because it has so many colors in it, the backpack looks very large. If I were to choose the backpack again, I would select a solid color, probably black, maybe with colorful zippers, but definitely not multicolored.2. The shoulder strap mesh separated from the strap within 3 months of use. The backpack itself is in good condition. It was loved and cared for; it was not abused or anything, but the "spring system strap" broke. The reason I still give the backpack 5 stars is because we called the manufacturer and they took care of the problem. With understanding that stuff happens we appreciate the good design, strong materials used for the product, and manufacturer's warranty. It is a great backpack.

Great Backpack!
We had such difficulty finding a high-capacity backpack. This was the third one I had ordered for my high school son. It is very roomy and holds all his notebooks, folders, books and most importantly, his lunch! It seems made from durable fabric. He also loves the elasticized straps which make it more comfortable to carry. He carries a very heavy load (the car thinks it needs a seat belt when it rides on the seat by itself) and doesn't use his locker, so comfort is important. Cool thing is that the "electricity" color seems to glow in the dark or when sunlight hits it. We'll see how long it holds up.

Big and awesome!
I purchased the Ridgemont backpack for my 7th grader hoping it would be wide enough to hold all of her binders, books gym stuff and lunch bag. It went above and beyond my expectations! It is cool looking, first of all, but more importantly, it's sturdy and super wide! My daughter LOVES it - no more unpacking and re-packing her backpack in the morning to make everything fit. She just pops everything in and is out the door! Plus it has the very cool pocket on top for her phone. I plan on getting one for my son when he starts Middle School this September!

Flimsy
I love the size of this backpack; it can hold a laptop and 4 maybe 5 textbooks. The three areas are large enough to fit folders and notebooks; the problem i had with most backpacks is that the front pocket is significantly smaller. I also love the handy pouch at the top to stick a phone or some gum or pens- anything you'd need in a hurry. However, I have experienced the backpack unzipping itself and this could be because of the heavy load in the back, but this is annoying. Also, one of my straps has started to fray in the middle where the "Load Spring" are is and has developed a hole. I don't think it will break because of the tough lining surrounding the strap, but it is worrisome. Another issue is that it looks big even when it's not filled up, which looks weird. All in all, this backpack is convenient because I can stuff so much inside of it, and for this I am thankfulUPDATEI've had this backpack for less than a year, and it's a mess! I HATE the "Load Spring" feature! This stretchy material just makes it slip down my back. Furthermore, one of the straps is fraying, and the other just broke. I was able to temporarily fix the strap by tying it and using duct tape, but I'm really disappointed. This bag is huge, but if it cant hold two textbooks and a couple notebooks without breaking, what's the point?

A great large backpack....
So glad to have FINALLY found the right sized bag for our seventh grader's needs. Considering that the lockers are so small and he has to carry large books in addition to 2" binders, this bag holds almost all of them. It's designed well with the exception of the lining. They should've used a heavier lining. I'm afraid over time, with carrying heavy books around, the lining is going to tear. It has a separate padded compartment for a laptop and also a separate padded compartment for a tablet...which is what he uses for one of his classes. He said that this pack is much more comfortable than ones he has used in the past because of the design of the straps with elastic. I would buy this again and would recommend to anyone looking for a very large backpack.

Sturdy backpack + lots of room
I bought this backpack for my brother who is in highschool right now. He carries 3 binders, which are 2 inches each and an additional 2-3 textbooks daily.Everything fits comfortably in this backpack, along with room for his PE bag as well. His first backpack ripped after 4 years of having it, of the similar dimensions (alos Adidas) and he kept all the tags so we could exactly pinpoint this one. So it's his second time in a row having this backpack and really loves it!We ordered black on black, its the most typical unisex colour so that he can keep using it through post-secondary hopefully :)Really happy to have found this backpack. The small, tightly fitted backpacks cost around $80!
