I am very glad that I purchased the Daewoo KOR6LOB 0.7 600 Watt Compact Microwave! It is indeed a very good product!
It is an very good Microwave oven . If you do want a faster heating Microwave oven to heat your food; it is recommended that you purchase one that is at least 1,000 watts or more. Because It does take a little bit longer to heat food in an oven that is 600 Watts, but otherwise, I am very glad that I purchased the Daewoo KOR6LOB 0.7. Cu Feet 600 Watt Compact Microwave. Also, the 600 watts is a savings for my electric bill. It fits perfectly in my small kitchen and the settings are easy to use. I would highly recommend this product. Also, it is very important that when you do use any Microwave oven to always cover your food with either a microwave cover; napkin; paper towel or plastic wrap at Home or the Office. This helps keep your food hot and also makes it easier to clean.

Compact and No Blown Circuits
I replaced my 1000 watt circuit-blowing micro with this compact puppy. I no longer wince when I push the micro start button. On the old behemoth, pushing the start button would sometimes blow circuits without even starting the micro. Other times, the circuits would blow after a minute or two. More often than not, there were no problems, but the anxiety became too much. I had to get rid of the beast.I now have a dependable micro and I have more counter space. My only wish would be that the light would come on when I open the door, but I can live with that. Yes, cooking times are a bit longer, but there's less stress, and that's what counts. The microwave was shipped and arrived promptly in good packaging.Great price.

Runs fine off a 1kw inverter - BUT warranty service is poor
The item I received is KOR7L0B 600 watt (that's a seven). The website says KOR6L0B. It's definitely 600 watts.I wanted a low power microwave, so I can run it off the 1kw pure sine wave inverter I have installed in my Prius. It works great! It was shipped very promptly by Planet73, and arrived only 4 days after ordering. The Daewoo KOR7L0B 600 watt microwave looks very nice, is well made, is solid, and works just fine.Details:- 600w means the microwave element inside. The unit actually draws 931 watts when running, and the nameplate on the back says 950w. This is important for those who are thinking of using this unit in an RV, boat, or your Prius, running it off a 1kw inverter.- It has ten power levels, but this means the microwave element inside cycles on and off, not that it runs at reduced power. So at the 50% power setting, it runs for 14 seconds at 931 watts, then 16 seconds at 41 watts (the turntable, fan and light inside). I was thinking that at 50% it would draw less power, but perhaps that's not possible with the technology.- Those who complain about it being weak or underpowered don't understand microwaves. At 600 watts, of course it will take twice as long as a microwave at 1200 watts. That's exactly how it's supposed to work. You cannot expect a 25 watt light bulb to be the same as a 50 watt light bulb.- The power cord is 33 inches long, which is just right for this kind of appliance. If you need it longer, use a short heavy duty extension.- It fits a normal size 10.25 inch dinner plate with no trouble.- The turntable is 10 inches in diameter.- The light comes on when it's running, like every other microwave I've used.I am very pleased with this microwave. It's the only one I've found with a low enough power draw to work with no problem off my 1kw inverter.**UPDATE** I changed my star rating from five to three stars. After ten months of occasional use (less than once a day), the turntable stopped turning. You can hear broken pieces inside the unit if you tip it. The seller said there is a 30 day return policy. Daewoo has a 1 year warranty on parts and labor, 5 years on the magnetron. So Jan 30, I phoned Daewoo's warranty line 877-393-7823. They requested I FAX the sales invoice, which I did. Ten days, Feb 9, I phoned them again and asked the status, and was told they received my FAX, and are waiting for corporate to decide what to do, maybe send a check or a Visa card for the purchase price. I said I'm willing to take it somewhere to be repaired, but they said there are no parts for this unit. I will post again if and when they send me a refund.**UPDATE** I changed my star rating from five, to three, to one star. Daewoo's warranty service must be the worst in the world. First contacted them Jan 30. Called and faxed them the sales invoice. No reply. Feb 9, called. "Waiting on corporate," they told me. Feb 23, faxed them a letter, mailed them a letter, and filled out a web form asking for warranty service. No response. Mar 11, called again. "We will check with corporate and phone you back right away today." No response. Mar 19 they finally phoned and left a message to call, which I did. No one picked up, so I left a message. No response. Mar 27 I phoned them again, the person I've been dealing with told me I had not gotten in touch with them! Then she said to cut off the power cord and take a photo of it, scrape off the serial number and mail it to them. I said OK, but it seems extreme since the microwave works, just not the turntable. As I was about to cut off the cord, I decided first to open up the microwave to see what might be broken. ONE screw was broken, the one which holds the turntable motor on. So for lack of one screw, they wanted to trash the whole unit. I replaced the broken screw, put it back together, it works again. To open it, you need a T20 security bit, which you can get at a hardware store. Daewoo is rated "F" by the Better Business Bureau, and I see others have experienced the same poor warranty service. I will NEVER buy a Daewoo product again with this kind of warranty run-around.

Takes too Long to Cook
The small size is nice and that's why I'm willing to give it two stars. Otherwise, it takes too long for anything to cook. To be more exact: It takes more than double the amount of time to cook anything. A one minute item takes 2 1/2 minutes to cook, a 2 minute item takes 5 minutes to cook and so on.

Nice little microwave
It's nice, does its job. It's small which is good for my kitchen but not too small. Could use a little more power though.

Nice little microwave
Pros - it's cute, it works, the door is cooperative, the price is right - so far I'm very happy.Cons - it's small (but really now, you should be able to tell that by the 0.7 Cubic feet) and it's low power so it takes longer - which is why I bought it. After my last Microwave - one of those industrial strength giants kept flipping the circuit breaker in my old building, and I got some angry comments from my super, I bought the lowest watt microthingy I could find, and so far - no blown circuits - so I'm happy, even if it does take 50% longer to cook stuff. And for what this costs - I'm very happy.Other cons are any plates of any real size don't fit and the glass is hard to see through so it's hard to tell when things are starting to boil - but pros (no blown circuits) far outweigh the cons and the price is literally 1/7th of what I paid for my last microwave.

Failed after 5 weeks
The low power is nice for when you want a slower heat to keep food from popping. It is good for heating those lunch in a plastic tub meals. That is what I used it for. Mine lasted 5 weeks and then stopped working. The metal cabinet was very hot, so one may reasonably assume it burned up.Checking the Daewoo web site for a service center reveals most states do not have one -- not even large states like Texas and New York. Sending it to the factory for repair requires that you pay the shipping. So, for most areas, you are, for all practical purposes, buying this without a warranty. Probably best to avoid Daewoo. I certainly will.
