Product description Life Ionizer filter MX & MXL #2 This filter is the authentic Life Ionizer replacement filter and will last for 1000 gallons or 12 months, whichever occurs first. Once a filter’s media is exposed to water, there is a natural degradation so it should be replaced. This is the secondary internal filter. The Life Ionizer filter #2 contains a filter media that reduces the remaining sediment. This filter incorporates our proprietary Vitamin C Ceramic Block Technology which helps to reduce chloramines and chlorine – combined with a layer of Advanced Activated Carbon to further reduce chlorine. Kinetic Degradation Fluxion (KDF) is a blend of high-purity zinc and copper. This helps to significantly reduce heavy metals and volatile organic chemicals so that they are barely traceable. Note: Please check your existing filter for a model number to make sure you order the correct replacement. Color may be different due to updated branding Search for the codes listed below Citric Acid Cleaning Cartridges – for your machine to work properly, the Electrolysis Chamber & Platinum/Titanium Plates inside must be cleaned of mineral build-up that happens during the process of electrolysis.
