Perfect!
My son loves it! He set it on his shelf (often opening it and petting it a few times, lol)

Awesome!
My 12 year old LOVED this!Pay attention to the measurements in the description, as the beetle is on the smaller end if the spectrum for this species.

False Advertising
As you can see from my picture that this is not as pictured or described. Incredibly disappointed. It is too late to order something else for my future entomologist. I have a very small hand (smaller than my 12 year old daughter's) and you can see that this is NOT a large specimen. In their photo either the woman's hand is the smallest hand ever on record or it is massively false advertising (obviously the most likely). Also in their photo the beetle takes up the entire square case which they claim has over 4 inches in diameter, but the beetle I have measures no more than 2 inches, if that. For $13 I would have certainly made a different purchase had I known otherwise. Beware!

Completely Headless Nick
Oops! Better packaging needed, this poor guy arrived decapitated! Fortunately the return process is fairly simple but might not arrive in time for my son’s birthday. The beetle looks amazing so if the replacement arrives intact I’ll post an update.

Great for bug lovers
Great for insect lovers! My 9 year old nephew loves insects and this is a great way for him to study the anatomy of an uncommon insect up close.

Does not look like the photo at all! Very cheaply made and tiny.
Does not look like the photo at all! Very cheaply made and tiny. This was just a beetle that someone caught, and stuck in a plastic box. The beetle was tiny, and it was broken in half when it arrived, because it was not glued down or suspended in an adhesive medium. I returned it immediately! Bought it for my grandson, but will not use it as a gift. Spend more money and get a quality specimen of a mounted beetle instead!
