I have used Butler Creek flip up covers for years. In the last few years, they have gotten a little cheese. And, stores don't stock them very well. The new Signature line is over engineered expensive junk. So, I bought the Leupold covers to try. Yeah, there pricey..but..vastly superior in every way. They can be put on without taking the scope off. Low profile. Will buy more sets. Order carefully. They do not fit older scopes than 2003. But, according to Leupold, they make additional adapter pieces so you can. Very impressed.

Leupold either cheapened these up or they have an inexpensive choice here. This pair does not have a center medallion like all my other, older scope flip up caps from leupold have. Maybe these are counterfeit Chinese I got a hold of. Otherwise they work and fit perfectly. Four stars for no center medallion.

So far they seen good and worth what I paid for. They don't make a sound when flipping them up/open. Was worried their might be a sound that might spook a deer but they are silent. For the price it would be nice if they included O-rings on the threads for added protection. They are over priced for what they are made of and purpose, but then again I guess the added cost for piece of mind that they are going to fit your scope correctly and a warranty in case something ever happens to them sorta makes up for it. These should be sold for $50 as a more realistic price but the surcharge for leupold products makes them cost what they do.

Scope caps fit in nicely on the Leupold scope I purchased. They are quick to open and provide good protection for inclement weather. I recently purchased another set of these caps. Well made

Lens cover fit perfectly on my VX3 Scope. Quality is good and they function well. A heads up on the rear EP cover. To install it properly you may have to roll back the rubber eye buffer ring and then roll back in place once the cover is installed. I noticed some reviews complaining about the rear cover just spinning and not staying attached. I experienced that too until I realized that to install the cover, you have to open the cover and grasp it by spreading your thumb and index finger on the inside of the cover and tightening it that way. The outside ring on the rear cover does rotate to allow you to position the release lever where it works best for you, but because of that, it is impossible to tighten it in place by grasping it on the outside of the piece. There are no instructions with the set explaining the rear installation procedure. When open, the covers do not lay flat on the scope as advertised, rather they stay in the upright position just like most of the plastic covers do. It is not a drawback. Covers are pricey, no question about it, but they should last for the lifetime of the scope.

Expensive until you see how a quality product should look and work like. Worth every penny!

The single best upgrade you can make. Read about how to put these on because there are separate bearings that let you screw them on without taking off the scope. WAY cheaper in the US but was too big a pain in the ass so I just order them form Canada.
