A luxury becomes the clear choice
I maintain a house yard and field fence rows. I'm comparing the HD3000 to several pump sprayers. The time saved, better coverage (chemical saved), and repairability makes the HD3000 a better choice than the (disposable) pump sprayers for house yards. Works well for field fence rows, which are impractical with pump sprayers. The battery pump seems like a luxury at first, but the benefits paid for the sprayer quickly. There's also a 1 and 2 gallon powered sprayer, that I would consider for spot spraying a house yard. If covering an entire 1/4-1/2ac. yard, 3 gallon is right, and will fill two or three times, done in under an hour. Customer Service is great. A problem initially, that didn't prevent use, was quickly solved by Christina. Lots of videos on YouTube.

Great customer support (Christina). Rare find these days!
Great customer support! Rare find these days. I purchased the Petra HD 3000 sprayer last season. I used it once and then left it in my heated garage until this spring. Unfortunately, it did not work when I tried to spray Wet and Forget mold control. I called Petra on a Saturday and actually spoke to a gentleman. He told me to charge it overnight again, fill it with warm soapy water and then see if that solves the problem. I did but it still did not work. I called Petra after work that evening and was connected with Christina. I was able to find my amazon receipt which she confirmed. Despite being 1 month over the 1 yr warranty, she said that Petra stands by their products and would send a replacement bottom which included the motor pump and battery. Unfortunately, the shipping department sent me out the bottom for the larger version HD4000. I texted her the following Saturday and within a minute had a response. She apologized, took ownership, and sent the correct replacement out with expedited shipping. I received it 2 days later! I used it 2 weeks ago and it worked great. I can honestly say that I have never had such great customer service. There is a slight premium price on Petra products and now I realize why. Try getting a hold of the knock-off brands that sell for a little cheaper when something doesn't work and see what the response is. Hats off to Christina and the Petra tools company. The way customer service use to be!!!

Great Customer Service from PetraTools
I bought a Petra sprayer from Amazon. I used it less than 3 times. I misplaced the power cord, I emailed PetraTools customer service, they sent me a new one (no charge). I got the charger, yay, but the battery wouldn't charge. I emailed PetraTools, they sent me a new battery & a pair of garden gloves (again, no charge). I was in a rush, connected the battery incorrectly, and fried the wires! Enough!! I threw away the sprayer! However, I bought a new one just like it. Why? Because of the superior customer service provided by Christina at PetraTools. Thank you Christina!!

Decent tool but doesn't last
I bought this sprayer (HD3000) when I was renovating my front lawn.I got it in august of 2023. Immediately out of the box I attempted to perform the priming action but it failed. I called the company (Petra) and had a very nice representative walk me through an alternate priming method in which water is injected with a hose directly into the inlet inside the tank to prime. This worked very well.I was mostly happy with the unit over the fall. Between killing the old lawn, treating the dirt and spraying various other treatments in the back yard, I used the unit perhaps 10 times. One persistent problem I had with it was that the place where the hose attached to the wand would leak. This happened the first time I used it, I tightened the connection and it would be fine for a bit and then start again. Annoying but not a deal breaker. The final use I made of it in the fall, I was getting leaking from the base, down my rear end. I hadn't noticed this occurring before, however it turns out that was some level of leak for some time because the leaking fluid showed traces of the dye that I stopped using around the 4 usage of the sprayer. This was a little more alarming but I figured I would deal with it in the spring.I dried it out, per the instructions, and set the unit aside in my basement (climate controlled) so that I wouldn't be exposing it to the temperature fluctuations in the garage.I got it out to use last weekend (late Feb 2024). I charged it up overnight, got it out in the morning and primed it with warm slightly soapy water. Rolled the power switch and all I got a high pitched whine. I checked, the indicator lights on the front which showed that the battery was charged and turned off the unit. I emptied out the tank and attempted the alternate priming procedure that I was walked through before with the hose spraying directly into the inlet, I can see that water is flowing through the system because it's dripping out the end of the wand (trigger squeezed, power off).I turn on the pump again, high pitched whining noise, the pump motor is dead.I disassemble the unit to pinpoint the whining noise and it is coming directly from the pump motor. There is also rust covering the mounting screws and blue dye all over the inside of the case. This unit only comes with a 3 month warranty.I've got a call into Petra Tools to see if I can buy a replacement pump to put back into the unit and I'll report back on whether I can get it and how much it'll cost.I'd much sooner bypass Petra Tools and buy the pump from somewhere else, but the specs labelled on the pump (12V, 1A, 2.6LPM, 90PSI) don't conform to any pump that I can find elsewhere on the net. The other 12V 2.6LPM pumps are rated above 2A and have lower pressure ratings. I suppose I could give it a shot, and I might, depending on what I hear from the Petra.Edit: The pump from Petra, cost $35, with a $15 shipping and handling charge. $50 for replacement of the major part of the tool that broke with less than one year of usage. The cost of $35 is a little high considering that similar pumps are available on ALI for a small fraction of that. Only covering the unit for 3 months warranty is absurd, the fact that it broke so soon shows that the part is garbage in the first place.

Good sprayers, strong customer service
Have had a canister type petratools sprayer for many years which has been awesome. Upgraded to backpack sprayer hd3000. Could not get it to work. Customer service (Anne) was excellent. Went through all the steps and concluded the unit need replacing. They sent out a new one right away and let me keep the original one for spare parts.
