Shame theyโve changed but not for the better.
I so agree with the review of these ginger snaps. They are completely diffferent to what Iโve been used to. Have to find an alternative. These are too gingery. Very disappointed. Hope they change it back to the original ones. In the meantime Iโll be checking out alternatives as these are just similar to the rest of them.

Did Marks and Spencer change the recipe for these cookies?
I have been a fan of these cookies for years. This last order left me very disappointed! The cookies had a different texture and flavor than what I am used to and tasted more like ginger nuts than the usual ginger snaps. As I said, I would love to know whether the recipe changed, or the cookies were mislabeled. It makes me hesitant to order them again from this seller.

Why did the recipe get changed?
When I was little my grandparents would bring these back whenever they went home to the UK to see family. Would devour them so much my Nan took to hiding them. The one thing that always stood out was the sharp taste and how crisp they were. I fear the recipe has been changed though. The taste is pretty much the same as always, perhaps a bit less sharp. The texture though is massively different. Where they were quite hard and gave a satisfying snap when eating, these are much softer and the "snap" is reminiscent of wilted celery. They are still good enough that I won't turn down a packet, but they are no longer worth the shipping price

These are really good. They keep forever and my husband won't buy any other kind. Marks and Spencer puts out a great product. Not too much ginger but still crunchy.
